Norwegian Street Art

house with girl and teddy

Two of Norways most well known and best street artists, Dolk and Pøbel, made some really cool stuff this summer. They went to the northern part of Norway (Lofoten) and painted big pictures on old abandoned houses, with the owners permission. This is a few of them..

house with girl picking deadly mushroom

I like this picture of the girl picking the deadly mushroom...

house with old fisherman and a surf board

The old fisherman and his surf board.

house with guy spray painting a heart

The guy spray painting a heart. Could it be a self portrait of the artist?

house with guy walking away from his wheel chair

And this one just rocks. Sleep walking, or zombie?

I hope this artwork will stick around for a while. I'd like to go and see it. The best part is that the project continues next year with 10 invited international street artists. 30 more houses have already been picked out.

Dolk says:

Definetly the most interesting street art project in 2009.
