Wok

wok

I've found a new interest; cooking. And, I've found a good food store with a wide selection of organic and vegetarian food. I'm not a vegetarian, but there seems to be a lot of nice vegetarian food around and I want to try more of it.

Inspired by Jimmy I took some photos of my wok dinner today. Now I'm surfing the Web trying to find good recipes for smoothies.. If you got any tips let me know.

Talking about vegeterian food: When eating out you should try to order the vegetarian meal and ask them to put chicken or some other meat in it. That's because when they make vegeterian meals they have to put an effort into making it tasty without meat. So it becomes extra good when you add meat.

And seriously: It's not a meal unless a land animal has to die for you to eat it :D:D

That's a strange metal semi-circular rack thing on the right hand side of your wok...what's that for? Never seen those before!

If some things are ready you can put them there while continuing woking, to make sure they don't get burnt. It's only really useful if you have very high temperature and wok a lot of stuff.

Ah ha, I see  I just put things into the wok at different times instead, so if they don't take long to cook, they get thrown in near the end when everything else is almost ready.

You could probably use that to let certain juices drip onto the cooking food for an added flavour.

Tasty cooking! Careful with the amount of (natural) sugar you can get from smoothies, though your home made ones will be better regulated than commercial products.
