liberty
2 Corinthians 3:17 says, "Now the LORD is that Spirit, and where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is liberty."
Isaiah 61:1 says, "The Spirit of the LORD God is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound."

Independence Day
Did you know there are FOUR references to God in the Declaration of Independence?
Here they are:
1. "...to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them..."
2. "...that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights..."
3. "...appealing to the Supreme Judge of the World..."
4. "...with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence..."
I found all this by just reading it for myself. This was not done under compulsion, but I chose to do my own research, and share this with anyone who wants to know what America is all about. The pilgrims who came to Plymouth Rock (now in present-day Massachusetts) were escaping persecution from the Church of England, the church run by the king at the time. All they did was voice their own opinions in public. Christ said He would build His Church, but He would NEVER condone persecution and intolerance toward someone else. He said, "Love the Lord your God, and your neighbor as yourself", and "Love your enemies". See Mark 12:30, 31 and Matthew 5:44,45. America was founded on the principle of RELIGIOUS FREEDOM, that is, the freedom to worship God as guided by our conscience. Educate yourself-do not remain ignorant!

Independence Day
Happy 4th of July to all of my American readers. Our country is now 235 years old.
Yes, we have attained our independence from England, but remember one thing: YOU WILL NEVER BE INDEPENDENT FROM GOD !!! Stay connected, my friends.

film
Right now, I am watching the film, Eat, Pray, Love. Here's a few things I learned:
1. You have to pick your thoughts the way you pick your clothes.
2. Stop trying, and surrender.
3. You have to master your mind.
4. Don't look at the world thru your head, look at it thru your heart.
Check it out sometime. Peace.

Father's day
It is now Father's Day in the USA.
Exodus 20:12 says, "Honor your father and mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you."
Today, I will honor my father by sharing the greatest piece of advice he gave me. I was 12 years old, in the 7th grade, and I wanted to attempt to fit in with everyone else. I shared this with him, and then he told me the following:
"Think for yourself, because we don't represent everybody else out there. If they want you to fit in, then let them buy all the clothes and shoes for you."
This is not exactly, 100 % verbatim, but this is the very substance of what he meant. After that one, I decided to be an individual, and go against the crowd.
The best advice from our Father in Heaven is in His Word, the Bible. What is the best advice your father gave you? Comments welcome. Peace.

2 Samuel 1:26 says, "I am distressed for you, my brother Jonathan; You have been very pleasant to me; Your love to me was wonderful, surpassing the love of women."

marriage
Today, my wife and I have been married for 15 years. Praise God for having a good woman this long.

Hebrews 13:4 says, "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the aldulterer and the sexually immoral."
