There is nothing that says you CANNOT defend and protect yourself.
You need to read the Bible for yourself, and get a right understanding.
DO NOT use the Bible to justify your questionable actions. You repent, change your attitude, and submit to His Word.
If you can’t find it in the Bible, it’s not worth discussing.
You have a God-given right to question people, especially those in leadership.
Read your Bible CLOSELY, especially the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Pay VERY close attention to what Jesus said and did.
Anytime you read your Bible, you are educating yourself. You are actually finding out for yourself God’s perspective on everything.
There is NOT a single verse in the Bible that says what you can or cannot read, eat, or drink.
Nowhere in the Bible does it say that it has to be a King James Bible, and no other. Now, you don’t see people in other religions fighting over translations of their stuff, do you?
Christianity was built around Jesus Christ-not Bible translations, traditions, creeds, denominations, politics, etc.
Censorship is NOT a Biblical doctrine.
Keeping and bearing arms is OK, because there are examples of God’s people doing so in certain parts of Scripture.
Education without salvation equals damnation.
“Stuff” means anything you own.
Pray and seek God, even in the smallest things.
If you are not comfortable about it, then DO NOT proceed.
God will NEVER mislead or misguide you, which is all the more reason to question your leadership.
God will not put on you that you cannot bear. But your leadership might.
Your family comes before your job and everything else, next to God and His Word.
If they don’t respect you, they will lose you because God has something better for you.
Anything taken to an extreme MUST be questioned, especially in the church. We have to communicate the right views about God, Christ, and ministry, so we don’t turn off people from the Lord.
God is love. We need to know who God is, and have a correct understanding of love.
What did Jesus say?
In all your Bible readings, make a habit of reading 1 or 2 chapters in any of the Gospels.
Where is that in the Bible? Please show it to me.
One question will always lead to anther.
Jesus asked questions, therefore, it’s okay for you to do so. His example is the final authority on personal conduct.
True revolution comes from within-not from overthrowing existing political systems. The important thing is to change the hearts and minds of the people.
Matthew 15:4 says: "For God commanded, saying, Honor thy father and mother: and, he that curses father or mother, let him die the death."
Revelation 2:22, 23 says:"Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am He which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works."
2 Corinthians 13:1 says: "This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established."
All Scriptures here are quoted from the King James Bible (KJV)
This is sad, especially here in America, when there is an abundance of sources to get Bible study materials.
But David thought to himself, "One of these days I will be destroyed by the hand of Saul. The best thing I can do is to escape to the land of the Philistines. Then Saul will give up searching for me anywhere in Israel, and I will slip out of his hand." So David and the 600 men with him left and went over to Achish son of Maoch king of Gath. David and his men settled in Gath with Achish. Each man had his family with him, and David had his two wives: Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail of Carmel, the widow of Nabal. When Saul was told that David had fled to Gath, he no longer searched for him. Then David said to Achish, "If I have found favor inb your eyes, let a place be assigned to me in one of the country towns, that I may live there. Why should your servant live in the royal city with you?" Then Achish gave him Ziklag, and it has belonged to the kings of Judah ever since. David lived in Philistine territory a year and four months. Now David and his men went up and raided the Geshurites, the Girzites, and the Amalekites. (From ancient times these peoples had lived in the land extending to Shur and Egypt.) Whenever David attacked an area, he did not leave a man or woman alive, but took sheep and cattle, donkeys and camels, and clothes. Then he returned to Achish. When Achish asked, "Where did you go raiding today?" David would say, "Against the Negev of Judah" or "Against the Negev of Jerahmeel" or " Against the Negev the Kenites." He did not leave a man or woman alive to be brought to Gath, for he thought, "They might inform on us and say, 'This is what David did.'" And such was his practice as long as he lived in Philistine territory. Achish trusted David and said to himself, "He has become so odious to his people, the Israelites, that he will be my servant forever."
This portion of Scripture came to mind while sitting in church one Sunday morning last year. The pastor was talking about using our gifts. He went on to say why a lot of celebrities go to the world to profit from their gifts. It's because the church did not validate their gifts. We, as churches, have to be careful with our leadership. I believe that everydody has something to offer, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem to others. If a church's leaders are abusive, repressive (holding someone back unnecessarily), jealous, or narrow-minded, then we risk losing some very gifted people to the things of this world. We need to help people find the right place for their talents and abilities, instead of pushing people away just because somebody feels threatened by another person's anointing. Saul was fully aware of David's giftedness, and tried 21 times to kill him out of envy (according to the notations in the Dake's Annotated Reference Bible, King James Version).
If the church does not give people a chance, we may lose them to the world, and end up having a lot to answer to God.
