Badly Written Romantic Comedy

, ,

Sometimes my life feels like a badly written (and often badly directed) Hollywood film. It has a cast of highly paid over-actors doing they're artistic director a favour by working on a very low budget movie. Let's meet the cast...

Matt Skiba, Will You Marry Me?

,

Well worth a blog post, I reckon. The new Alkaline Trio album is awesome. I think it's due in shops on the 1st July in the UK and it, as ever with Alkaline Trio, is absolutely awesome.

Now hurry up modern science, 'cause I want to have Matt Skiba's babies. I'd possibly settle for Dan Adriano's babies, though.

Verging on obsessive? Probably!

Embarrassing Night #56293

, ,

Maybe it's true. Maybe I do need to increase the level of blood in my alcohol system by cutting down the amount I drink. Maybe I should grow up and stop drinking so much I can barely remember the night before. On Wednesday night I had another of my really-can't-afford-to-but-going-out-anyway nights. Most of my drinks were bought for me (I don't quite know how I manage to do this but it starts with my friends buying me drinks and then I move onto total strangers who buy me drinks! It's like I have an alcohol charity dedicated to me!) and with each drink imbibed I was getting louder and louder.

Well, Another Night Gone By

It's Saturday night but I have very little money to my name. I've been working overtime today to try and get my finances back in shape next month and I'm not really in a party mood. This Morning

My eyes open. My bedroom curtains are open so it's pretty painful to adjust to the daylight. What time is it? I reach into my pocket and grab my phone, press a button to make it light up, squint to see the screen and end up looking at my watch - which would have been the easier option in the first place. Brain is still booting up. It's 11:30 AM. My brain fires up and connections in my synapses start putting things together. I reached into my pocket? Oh great, I'm fully dressed. Shoes included. Brand new bedsheets and I got into bed last night with my shoes on. Wise move.

Truly. Genius

I have so much in common with you Mr Munroe.

If I had the same command of physics + the English language that this cartoonist has, I'd swear we were seperated at birth.

Another idiocyncracy of mine is that I like to have things in nice orders. (Anyone care to go crack open a tube of Smarties and eat them in colour order?)

What gives, Opera?

My Opera has been on and off all day today. Anyone know what the deal is?

Expanding on some suggestions already made, here's some more things I'd love to see implemented in future versions of Opera web browser.

Everything should be zero based

In computer programming (well, in GOOD computer programming) lists of things should always start with a zero. In real life we tend not to use it except when making references to ordinals (first, second, third, etc...) I wonder what life would be like if we did make things zero-based?
