Childhood TV Shows, Clubbing, alcohol
Maybe it's true. Maybe I do need to increase the level of blood in my alcohol system by cutting down the amount I drink. Maybe I should grow up and stop drinking so much I can barely remember the night before. On Wednesday night I had another of my really-can't-afford-to-but-going-out-anyway nights. Most of my drinks were bought for me (I don't quite know how I manage to do this but it starts with my friends buying me drinks and then I move onto total strangers who buy me drinks! It's like I have an alcohol charity dedicated to me!) and with each drink imbibed I was getting louder and louder.

Clubbing, alcohol
It's Saturday night but I have very little money to my name. I've been working overtime today to try and get my finances back in shape next month and I'm not really in a party mood. A friend of mine is going into town so I offer to give her a lift. I pick her up at 8.15 and we drive to pick her friend up and head towards the town centre.

alcohol
My eyes open. My bedroom curtains are open so it's pretty painful to adjust to the daylight. What time is it? I reach into my pocket and grab my phone, press a button to make it light up, squint to see the screen and end up looking at my watch - which would have been the easier option in the first place. Brain is still booting up. It's 11:30 AM. My brain fires up and connections in my synapses start putting things together. I reached into my pocket? Oh great, I'm fully dressed. Shoes included. Brand new bedsheets and I got into bed last night with my shoes on. Wise move.

Divorce, Personal, alcohol
I'm back from the hospital where they've spent the last hour cutting my back up! It was really very strange to feel blood pouring down your back but not the surgeon actually cutting you. I could feel him prodding and poking but felt no pain. I find that very strange...

alcohol, Holidays
I'm not well known for travelling. I have no stamps in my passport. The first time I ever left the country was after my 18th birthday (the Bridlington speed boat doesn't count, apparently) and I've been on a grand total of 6 flights (for the absence of doubt, that's 3 round trips!). 2 of those flights happened this weekend when 7 friends and myself decided to leave the sunny inclines of Yorkshire, England for the slightly more exotic Budapest, Hungary.

Weight, Personal, alcohol
I mentioned on
Kim's blog that my weight worries me. My body doesn't like to work like other people's. If I eat healthily and stick to 3 meals a day - I put weight on. I don't tend to eat like that, though. My job is pretty full on so I tend to snack all day. I just cut out sugary snacks for sleep-related reasons! I had trouble getting out of bed!

Hallowe'en, alcohol
I love Hallowe'en, I know it's not a "real" holiday but I think there's so much fun involved! Maybe it's the dressing up, maybe its the getting involved in something that's really quite childish or maybe it's just the making of the jack-o-lantern!
