CONAFOR Announces Director of investment of 183 million pesos for Oaxaca

The director general of the National Forestry Commission (CONAFOR), Juan Manuel Torres Rojo, announced that the federal agency allocated 183 million pesos in 2011 to Forest Production, Community Forestry, Conservation and Restoration, Payment for Environmental Services and Forest Health Forest fires, among other things of benefit to the forestry sector the state of Oaxaca.

He said that to date have occurred in Oaxaca a total of 69 wildfires that have affected two thousand 43 hectares, mainly of grasses and shrubs, being the most affected regions of Central Valleys and Mixteca.
