as I didn't have a problem I don't need answers but they are welcom ofcourse.nobody can answer this without creating a chaotic thread.

I thought it was good to have testers.for example opera 9 beta, you find nothing about 9 on the opera frontpage, because only nerds should test it.
... I see 143 linksif you go to opera community http://my.opera.com/community/ you see..
not as easy to see as (dynamic) advertisement on my own websites.if you are in a hurry you can use search - the one in the top searches by "or" so take advanced - adding quotation marks around an expression matches the exact expression only ("bacon and eggs") - so type "opera 9" - 4 pages - 163 threads
quite easy
Using the home link from the home page is an oxymoron.start with home -> faqEvery time I look for something I have to read something like 10 000 words on 50 pages.
You cant blame the user. An UI can be as inteligent as a person.no board will give you any information, if you don´t know how to handle it.
It's not a good excuse to have the wrong info in the search results.that´s the problem of all boardsBeing unable to edit a post means that the last resort for finding an answer is more like a dump as helpful

no page with problems and your page is not under the first 10
I see this:
google_result_opera_banners.gif
if the links would be free for google, all the spammers of the world would post questions with their tiny little footerlinks into this board. The value of a site is mesured in the amound of links pointing at it from other sites. Also known as google pigeon ranking
Who are you calling spamers?
I find that a bad excuse to give people no credit for their help. I think a forum should credit it's users. I see a pagerank 1 page from a person with 12000 posts. Then my Opera blog as well as my profile have page rank 5??? I love the attention but I'm sure I didn't earn it.
I think it's most fair to show google the same pages as the users see? Not a fake version. There currently isn't any credit given to active forum members. It's artificially prevented. I suggest pumping up the sites from actual community participants.
People are to lazy to say "thank you" today. A link isn't to much to ask, helping people is a great way to promote a website. Much better as flooding your mailbox with spam I would think? Or did those email bomb peeps deserve the credit and people giving help deserve non? Strange math... Then there is little point in putting a "get opera" link on a page that doesn't exist in the search results. Sure, professional webdesigners would be more interested in participating in the discussion. Is that a bad thing? Google is perfectly capable of ignoring the 1 alligator, 2 alligator topics.
Don't worry, only good topics get credited.
