THE BEAUTIFUL GAME!!!

, , , ,

The battle cry sounds,
followed by screaming and cheering.
The ground shakes in eager expectation as the battle unfolds.

The eyes of the world turns to the battlefield in childish curiosity.
Opponents stand face to face. A silence takes over as the anxious wait starts.
Finally the starting whistle blows and .......

THE BEAUTIFUL GAME BEGINS!!! :D

Will you be there to answer the battle cry?
Will the passion for the game overtake you?

Time will tell, but for now join the rest of
The World Cup supporters in this forum. :D

Hi! I'm from the Philippines. Football is not popular here but I still love football because it is the sport I love since my elementary school days. Now, I'm working for a bank.

I followed the World Cup since 1978 where Argentina won. Ever since, I love the Brazilian team because they bring carnival-like football in the world cup. From Zico in 1982 to Ronaldo in 2002, I can say I'm a Brazilian at heart.

I am definately going to support USA (FIFA world ranking #4, woohoo!). I've played since I was 5 (and still play!), so I have a deep passion for the game. Although I know the US will not be taking home any trophies this summer, I hope they do really well.

Other then that, who doesn't like watching 'The Canaries' dance on the field? IMO, They turn soccer into an art rather than a sport, at some point you stop cheering for them in start staring in AWE at how beautiful the game can be played. I can't wait!

BTW, I'm new here how do I become a member of this group?? Thanks!

Hey,

Great tribute/ballad to the all-uniting game thats football. I seriously hope the childlike curiosity stays alive just like this for all the 30 days of GREAT fanfare and carnival.

Take care

As a footie fan in the wrong country for it (The US :frown:) I'm proud to say that I'll be there in South Africa for the World Cup! Anyone else making the trip to see it live?
