I discovered a new track yesterday and it's so much better than the old one I used to walk along. The weather was really great too! There are a lot more plants along this track too, so here are some photos.

And now a question for the German speaking people- why is it 'mit Blumen geschmueckt' and not 'dekoriert'? (I found it on dict.leo.org)

Glad you like them? You mean the top purple ones? They look better in the photo than in real life, well that's what I think anyway :smile:

why is it 'mit Blumen geschmueckt' and not 'dekoriert'?

Das ist eine gute Frage! Ich diskutierte mit meinem Mann darueber und wir kamen zu folgendem Ergebnis:

Alles Lebendige wird geschmueckt
Beispiel 1: wir schmuecken den Tannenbaum fuer Weihnachten
(aber: man kann Dekoration oder Schmuck kaufen, um den Tannenbaum zu schmuecken)
Beispiel 2: eine Frau ist geschmueckt und dafuer kauft sie (oder laesst kaufen) Schmuck (aber niemals Dekoration, um sich selbst damit zu schmuecken)

Alles nicht Lebende wird dekoriert
Beispiel: der Tisch ist festlich dekoriert
(aber: man kann Dekoration oder Schmuck kaufen, um den Tisch zu dekorieren)

Ich bin nicht sicher, ob unsere Interpretation richtig ist. Vielleicht werde ich mal weiter nach einer genauen Definition forschen. :idea:
