Big fat foreign people exchange student party

, , , ...

There's a MASSIVE party happening this Saturday from 9!!

There's going to be lots and lots of people!! At the moment, nearly 100!

It's going to be REALLY FUN! :D :hat: :drunk:

The party on Saturday will be huge...Guess you shouldn't miss it. At least that's what everybody told me :-)

(German guy)

 I start work at 11pm, so I can't go (ok, I could go for an hour, but it'd take me 1 hour to get there!) I finish work at 4.30am so it will probably be finished... awww

I feel left out awww

The moral of the story: Get a job before you turn 18. Then you wont have to work in a bar every Saturday night, getting spit in your eye, while your friends and everyone you know go to the ueber cool party where all the funny foreign people are and has fun and doesn't even think of you working in the bar with some loser's spit in your eye, getting your hands cut on broken glasses etc etc

I think I want to have a birthday party this year. But WHERE?! I live 40 minutes with a bus from the city...no one would want to travel all that way...actually, I wouldn't want anyone to come here anyway....then they'd realise that we have the same painting in our lounge room TWICE (one is just faded more than the other) Any ideas?

Back to school...or uni as I call it

, , , ...

After a month of doing nothing (getting up at 10am, staying in my PJs all day...) I went back to uni today.

The bus was full. The bus is my enemy. I day dream on the bus. I like short sentences P: I like toast with honey. I like honey crackles. Snap crackle pop

My only class today was law. It wasn't very interesting and I nearly fell asleep.

It is expected that you know about the:
Common law system and doctrine of precedent
Common law and equity law
Interplay between general and statutory law
Basic law of contract
Law of agency

:eyes: *doesn't remember*

I went pretty well. I got 2 credits and 2 distinctions....I got a credit for Finance!! 50% of people fail it!

This semester I'm doing two 3rd year (final year) courses *scared* But, I think it'll be ok

Oh, I never told you all that the commerce director guy said I can go on exchange. He said that I'm a 'splendid candidate for exchange' :D So now I'm trying to find the cheapest way to get to Germany  I just need to get my dad to read my exchange application form. Then get someone who works at uni to write a reference for me. Hmm and I need to send them 2 passport sized photos. Am I supposed to smile? Should it be a passport mugshot?

Can I draw a passport sized photo of myself?

I'm sitting here eating Cadbury 'Duo' chocolate. It's dark chocolate with milk chocolate on the top  But I have no one to eat it with :frown: It's no fun getting fat by yourself.

You can make friends with alcohol

, , , ...

I was at my friends' house on Friday night for a 'party' before another party with a group of exchange students. I was the only Aussie  Quite a few of them know me because I helped them over the last 2 weeks (I get paid for helping new students)

Now, how do you have a 'party'?
1. Sit around the coffee table
2. Put all your drinks onto the coffee table
3. Share all your drinks with the others

I took 9 bottles of Heiniken with me, with a total value of $7.50*9=$67.50 (I paid $0 for them though). Everyone thought that was cool and now everyone knows my name  The Simpsons were right, you can't make friends with salad. You CAN make friends with alcohol (and cake!)

My shelf in the fridge = my free beers

The other party started at 8, but everyone forgot and we left the house at 9.30. But there was still some wine left...and it was wine in a BAG! Do you have wine in a bag where you live?

Finnish and German people think wine in a bag is so cool that they want their photo taken with it!

We got to the other party and it was lots of fun  (eventhough it was at a dodgy bar) Living in the suburbs is really annoying. You have to go home at 11.30pm! Well, I didn't go home at 11.30pm :D At 2am a group of us decided it was time to sleep, so we walked down the road a bit back to the house  Some of the Germans went to have breakfast at the continental shop, but I went home because I purposely took $0 with me so I wouldn't buy anything.... :frown:

These foreign people I hang out with are really nice, even when they are drunk. When Aussies get drunk, they get mean and rude (I'd know, I work in a bar). One guy spat in my eye last night!!

1. Alle sitzen rund um den KaffeeTisch
2. Stecken die Getraenke auf dem Tisch
3. Teilen die Getraenke

Ich habe 9 Flaschen Heiniken mitgebracht. In einer Kneipe/Bar kosten sie ungefaehr $7.50 pro Flasche...also, ins gesamt: $67.50 (ich habe nichts bezahlt  ) Jetzt kennen jedem meine Name. Alkohol=Freunde?

Herr A: Hi Kim!

1/2 way!

, , , ...

At 11.10am yesterday, I was exactly 1/2 way through my degree :hat: :wizard: Intersheep and I celebrated today

Intersheep decided that biscuits are not a healthy choice. So we ate a mandarin as well

After the exam, the plan was to have lunch. I however was not hungry and Miss V didn't have any money for lunch but, the guys were hungry. We walked over to the pub but we never actually went IN the pub.

We went to the playground instead.

Mr E had to do another exam, so we left him there and went to Ray's Outdoors, an outdoor shop. I never knew sleeping bags were so expensive. I didn't even know which sleeping bag to buy so I didn't buy one. Outdoor shops are always fun :D

One two roomed tent had a fan in it! I thought that was pretty cool...

Then I left my friends to do some stuff at uni and to buy some stuff in the mall. Then I went to see my grandma in the hospital. I feel so sorry for her there. The ward is soooo horrible looking, like something out of a horror movie. There must be criminals in there too because there are security guards sitting outside the wards. One woman in the ward keeps trying to escape so the nurses had to tie her to the bed!

It was tea time in the hospital when I visited. My grandma made me eat 80% of her meal...

When I got home my sister was cooking pancakes. That's why there was a smoke-like-cloud in the lounge room.

Pancakes with plum jam, cherries and banana

Balance sheet and new addition to my flock

, , , ...

Yesterday I got a letter from....*drum roll please*.....

:eyes: What could they want?! I don't even earn enough money to pay tax!

My uni bill

Luckily, I don't have to pay it until I earn over $41,000 or something similar. It's pretty unfair making students pay for uni. I'm going to be paying lots of taxes in the future. These taxes will add up to more than $7000 too!

Ok, so lets have a look at my balance sheet (it's nearly 30 June and I don't think too much is going to change before then)

ASSETS*
Cash at bank Not much
Webcam $25

LIABILITIES

Uni bill payable $6939

EQUITY NEGATIVE!

*The only thing I have bought with money I have earned, is my webcam. Hence the only thing that I properly own is a $25 webcam. My parents are pretty nice

In other news:

I now have 2 sheep in my flock. I'm getting good at this shepard business  The new sheep is currently nameless, but he/she makes a 'baaaaa' noise and is from somewhere in the shed (my dad found it) Before it lived in the shed, it lived in New Zealand. Intersheep, however, is still my favourite sheep. He/she isn't dusty and is soooo clever!
l:

Coca-Cola is going to introduce flavoured milk to South Australia. Did you know, Farmer's Union Iced Coffee (it's flavoured milk) outsells Coca-Cola here 3:1 ??!!

I like frangipanis  Why is this photo so pixely?! It doesn't look that that in PaintShop Pro (yeah im so cool I use PSPro!)

Please someone advise me on why my photos are going so bad!! They never used to, these ones are clear. And I don't do anything different when I resize them either *confused*!!

Now I have to go and do some study for the Finance and Investment exam tomorrow. Oh and I have to try to drink more than 13 cups of hot water today! :D

My new shepard is a bit weird

, , , ...

Good (Insert your choice of: Morning/afternoon/night/day/evening)!

Kimbers is busy with her revision. Her exams start next Saturday so I'll be writing today

This family is SOOOOO weird! Kimbers and her dad were both at home on Tuesday. A fly sat on her dad's laptop and they had competition: 'Who can take the best picture of a fly?' :left: They didn't let me enter the competition :frown:

Kimbers didn't win because her photos were all blurry.

The work Kimbers is doing is sooo boring. I have been reading this book which is much more interesting

I'm going to eat some flowers now  Bye!

Intersheep!

PS: Grant, one day I will tell you about my history: where I am from, my favourite foods, my favourite music...but I'm really hungry at the moment
