This is just a piece of marketing....

Nominations are open for the My Opera Awards .... I just realised these existed now!

Have my blog entries ever made you smile?
Have you learnt something about Aussie culture from my blog?
Have you learnt anything from my blog?
Has my blog amused you on rainy days when there is nothing to do and all your friends are hanging out with their significant other and don't have time for you?
Has my blog ever made you laugh?
Did you ever receive a prize from me, for winning a Christmas decoration competition? :wink:
Do you like it how my blog isn't just snippits from 'funny' stuff I found on the internet?
Do you think it's cool how I don't take emo photos of myself, play around with the saturation and put them on here?

If you answered YES to any of the above, why not nominate me for 'Best blog by a female''

It would be an honour for me to be nominated. You know, I don't know what I want to be when I 'grow up'...so maybe I can just be famous on the internet? P: You can make it possible!

PS:
Thank you to our friend [URL=http://my.opera.com/sanshan/blog/San, who nominated me :smile:

The Birthday

, , , ...

On Sunday I lost my teenager-hood. I also lost my voice. I don't know if it was from smoke or talking to loud...but my voice decided to go on holiday. It arrived back yesterday :smile: But now I'm a bit sick :frown:

Anyway, the birthday....I didn't have a party. I couldn't be bothered organising a party. So, as usual we went for lunch at my grandma's house.

After lunch, I asked my dad if he wanted to go for a walk up a hill. He said no, because it makes him too tired. So, I went by myself. It took me only 12 minutes to get to the top; no pauses! It used to take me mroe than 30 minutes!

Then, my sister and her 'friend' went for another walk with me in the evening. They must have felt sorry for me. I think my hobby is walking up hills. My dad thinks I should go in a walking competition :left:

View from half way up the hill

We took walkie talkies with us. We discovered that you can hear other people and talk to other people. We talked to a guy named Troy.

Then we went to McDonalds because I wanted to have an icecream. And because I can afford to eat icecream at McDonalds; $0.50/icecream :wink:

No, we didn't buy one for the Hoff. Yes, we were too lazy to get out of the car, so we got drive-through

Eating the icecream in the car, in the car park. Is that bogan? :left:

Then we went home and I did my assignment....and my auntie and uncle visited me.

But today was better than my birthday! Because, I got some mail from Germany, from my favourite German :D No one else got me such a nice present.... This parcel was a very special for Intersheep....because....

Intersheep's SISTER was inside!

Now I have three sheep in my flock :smile: I must have shown signs of being a good shepherd, and so that's why I have another sheep :wink:

This little sheep was very hungry and the first thing she did was run to the fridge...

Then she grabbed a spoon and ate lots of icecream. Next time, I'll just buy chocolate...

Today's German Lesson:
In today's lesson, we will learn some ingredients commonly used in 'Du bist ein Engel' German chocolate bars:

Vollmilch-Schokolade = full milk chocolate = milk chocolate
Zutaten = ingredients
Zucker = sugar
Kakaobutter = cocoa butter
Vollmilchpulver= full milk powder
Kakaomasse = cocoa mass
Suessmolkenpulver= I have no idea about what the English is. Sweet whey powder?
Milchzucker= lactose...milk sugar
Emulgator = emulsifying agent
Aroma: natuerliche Vanille= flavour: natural vanilla

Kann Spuren von Nuessen und Erdnuesen enthalten
= May contain traces of nuts and peanuts.
(German people, please explain Erdnuessen and Nuessen :smile: )

Now you should be able to understand some German chocolate bar wrappers :wink:

And now it's time for me to go to sleep.

Letter, vegetables and Intersheep

, , , ...

I'm happy :smile:

This afternoon I received an email from my uni saying that they have accepted my application for exchange. I have to go to a meeting where I'll receive the application forms for the German university :up:

Intersheep is in my bag and ready to go to Germany ALREADY!! That sheep needs a calendar!

Now for some photos. I'm using a different camera (one that my dad used to use) with 8 mega pixels. My dad got a new one with a bigger optical zoom. Now he takes photos of useless random stuff (wall paper, clocks...) just so he can zoom in on it :lol:

It's normal for people to HATE brussel sprouts. I can't see what is so horrible about them. They're sooooo good!! My cousin, who cried when she first tried icecream even likes them :wink:

This is Intersheep's new favourite mug :wink:

Now it's probably time for some homework :frown:

My first week in Adelaide

, , , ...

Hi! My name is Intersheep, Kimbers' get well sheep. I'm called Intersheep because I'm the only sheep in the whole world who can use the internet :cool:

My Shepard sent me to Australia in a cardboard envelope. It was a very long, dark and bumpy journey. I eventually made it to Adelaide, where I met Kimbers. She seemed really happy to see me and I was happy to see her because I didn't like being in the dark envelope and I like people. Kimbers is nearly all better now and we're good friends :smile:

I've been taking some photos during my first week here. I think you'll be quite amazed at my photography skills. I am a sheep after all, but I did have a pretty good teacher. Anyway, here are my photos :smile:

I have my very own login :smile:

It's autumn in Australia. I don't know if other sheep can see in colour, but I can.

When Kimbers was sick, I made sure I didn't get sick.

I miss my Shepard :frown: He used to make me yummy coffee. Now all I get is hot water (that's all that Kimbers drinks!)....I guess the umbrella is pretty cool though :wink:

I like sitting in the sun (when it shines) and eating grass.

These are some of my new friends. Moose and horse from Canada, Panda from China and Bird from Alsace in France :happy:

I don't know if the cat likes me. It always sniffs me :left:

I met these sheep in a chat room. They're from New Zealand.

Paris Hilton has a Chiwawa in her bag. Kimbers has ME flirt

I'm pretty clever, but this accounting homework is too hard for me :eyes: Can you believe Kimbers got 6/7 for the test?! She couldn't either.

No Kimbers, you can't cook THAT for dinner!!! :yikes: *covers eyes*

Well, that's my first week. Now it is time for all sheep to go to bed. I'll probably write again one day, to let all of you know how I am going. Byeeeee and goodnight!

Intersheep

Well travelled sheep

, , , ...

I got mail on Monday. It wasn't from the bank, uni, an insurance company or even a random on the OC wanting to marry me (so they can take full advantage of my $120.48 superannuation money).

It was a parcel from my favourite German, Mr S :D The good people at the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service knew what was in the parcel before I did.

"We know all your secrets...."

So then I opened the parcel and it made a noise :left: WHAAA?! A sheep and a magical nemo towel! :smile: The noise was the bell (a long story) on the sheep. It's a get-well present for when I was sick the other week Awww :smile: Well, on Sunday, I got sick AGAIN*, so it was good timing.

The sheep was looking quite happy, especially after such a long journey.

Welcome to Australia! We shared some Vegemite on toast. I think he/she/it liked it as he/she/it kept smiling :wink:

After putting the magical towel in water, it turned THIS BIG! That's so coooolllll!!!

It's been raining in Adelaide this week. The lawns are GREEN again :eyes: It's cold too, so I've started sleeping in my sleeping bag again. It's only rated to 10 degrees :frown: This meant I was shivering most of the night, sniffling and wishing I had a hard-core -10 degrees sleeping bag!

Hmm..umbrella is not quite big enough. At least he/she/it wont get a wet left ear.

Totally unrelated to sheep, feeling sick and umbrellas:

Perhaps it's this one from March 21, but grown up?

*Why do I keep getting sick?!
Is it: I was at the beach, freezing cold at 1am on Friday? The dishwasher at work doesn't kill germs off the glasses? The germs from that guy who spat into my eye decided to attack? I hardly eat meat or dairy and I'm weak? Other?

Ironing sheep

, , , ...

Who irons their clothes? I quite like wrinkly clothes and how they feel so comfortable. My mum insists on ironing EVERYTHING; PJs and teatowels included! :eyes: Ironed PJs feel like wearing a cardboard box. Not good. I've used an iron one in my life. It was at school, in home economics (the subject where you make stuff from material) and I couldn't even switch the iron on :left: At least I wont be taking after my mum anytime soon P:

I guess I'm 'domestically challenged' but I think that's a good thing; I have super baby soft hands (the only scar on them is from a yoghurt lid- I cut myself but was financially compensated) and no dirt and grime under my fingernails.

I've only used a vaccuum once and that was also at school too. It had really bad suction and it would have been quicker if I just picked up the rubbish!! In my 19 years, I've used a washing machine a total of....1 time. While I was in Sydney I had lots of stuff to wash but didn't know how to operate a washimg machine so I looked at it for a while and then asked for help :lol:

At work we have to scrub and mop the floors. On my first day I had to mop the floor. I hoped no one was looking because I had no idea how to mop a floor and if they realised, they would have laughed!!

Jonny, you can iron the sheep in the field all you like, but don't iron your toys!

PS: Before you think I'm super-ditzy (stupid), I got 90% for my final highschool exams. Smart people know how to get other people to do stuff for them P:
