By Matt Coxcoxy. Tuesday, May 10, 2011 10:47:16 AM
Making it's debut on Windows Phone, Gamestyle is pretty certain that 'HD' stands for High Definition. What we know for sure is that this game looks excellent.

Last night we closed down the forums for a while and moved to some alternate forum software. The whole process went well and the new forums looks a lot cleaner and more in line with the site's design.
What's more, if you have an account on Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo!, Flickr, Blogspot, LiveJournal, MySpace, AOL, Wordpress and more - you can sign in to Gamestyle with one or two clicks. No need to sign up for an account!

It's all change over at Gamestyle.
By Matt Coxcoxy. Wednesday, December 15, 2010 10:45:50 AM

It's all change over at Gamestyle. We've just implemented a hot new navigational-based footer and a different shade of blue!
The 'old' footer was always intended as a temporary measure but somehow made it's way onto the site and stayed there for far longer than we're willing to admit. The 'new' footer is a marvelous way of finding your way between the sections. It's not the most epic footer design in the world, but it sure is useful.
We've also updated the colour scheme we're using on the site. We were sick and tired of looking at the in-your-face cyan blue that was broadly used site-wide and have replaced it with a more professional and friendly blue colour that is still bright, but better. We hope you'll agree.

A/B Testing
By Matt Coxcoxy. Wednesday, December 1, 2010 4:19:27 PM

Right now at Gamestyle, we're testing out a new homepage. It's being show to random visitors so we can assess how successful it will be, should we fully launch it.
Many of you will be blissfully unaware that this is going on, because you still see the 'old' page and the lucky few that see the new homepage will be presented with an alternate browsing experience to what they're used to.
It's very early days to assess properly - but it's looking good so far. The initial sample shows that our bounce rate has decreased from ~40% to ~20%. This is a good thing. People seem to be spending less time on the homepage and are finding the content they need and want to see.
If you see the new homepage, let us know what you think in the Feedback Forum.
Gamestyle: The Application
By Matt Coxcoxy. Wednesday, May 26, 2010 2:14:00 PM
You never knew that you needed it, but now you can have a shiny Gamestyle logo in your Apple OSX dock, Windows 7 Taskbar or lost amongst an interface-less distro of Linux! All you need to do to turn Gamestyle into an application is follow the simple instructions below:
1. Download Mozilla Prism
If you're a Firefox user, this can also work as a Firefox Extension. If you're not a Firefox user, this works as a stand-alone app.
2. Open Mozilla Prism.
Enter the following details:
URL: http://gamestyle.com/
Name: Gamestyle
Icon: Use image from web
or for just the forum:
URL: http://gamestyle.com/forum/
Name: Gamestyle Forum
Icon: Use image from web
And tick the 'Applications Folder' option in the Shortcut category.
3. That's it!
Your brand new Gamestyle application should auto-magically start up.
If you have any feedback on the application; please visit Gamestyle Forum.
