Karen 30. October 2009, 15:56

How nice of you, Gavin! Thank you so much for the offer. If you still have invites, here's my addy: removed to avoid getting spammed

Thanks again...and have a wonderful weekend!

Gavin Sheedy 30. October 2009, 16:05

On it's way. You should probably both delete your email addresses to avoid spammers.

Oh... and Opera isn't supported :/

Karen 30. October 2009, 16:12

Too bad about Opera, but that's okay. Thanks again! :coffee:

Gavin Sheedy 30. October 2009, 16:13

Lu 30. October 2009, 16:24

What is a wave??

Gavin Sheedy 30. October 2009, 16:32

Some Google engineers decided that it was ridiculous that email is still the standard means of web communication, so they cooked up what is essentially a application that essentially a group document editor; participants in a wave communicate in the same box, can see each other's entries as they're inputed live, can edit different parts of the same document, use a variety of input forms beyond text, such as vide, charts, whatever. It could be pretty cool.

ShallowMuse 30. October 2009, 17:06

Voyeuristic much! Everyone seeing everything thats happening.. Story of our lives!

Gavin Sheedy 30. October 2009, 17:17

No, you get to choose who is part of each wave, or the group does. Actually, that's part of it's problem, unless you have a group project, it doesn't have much application that I can see, as it stands.

A post from my other blog.

Angeliki 30. October 2009, 17:17

*kisses Gavin and says "thanks but I will pass " *

Gavin Sheedy 30. October 2009, 17:18

 Thank you.

r♡se 30. October 2009, 18:04

Ah, I'd really like to try it out, but I only know one other person who is using it. Who would I use it with? p:

Gavin Sheedy 30. October 2009, 18:06

Me! Or, more likely, people that you are working with that you could then invite. Let me know if you want one.

r♡se 30. October 2009, 18:07

So... if you get an invite/account, you can go on and invite others?

Gavin Sheedy 30. October 2009, 18:08

Well, I could, so presumably. I got a limited number of invites.

r♡se 30. October 2009, 18:09

I'll get back to you :D.

Lu 30. October 2009, 18:14

But what do you do on it?
I still don't get it Homer: Doh!

Kitty 30. October 2009, 18:33

If Gavin sends one to me Rose, then you can use it with me too! P:

r♡se 30. October 2009, 18:37

Ooh, are you using it too?

Kitty 30. October 2009, 18:39

Not yet - I haven't heard it before now. :left: But I would!

r♡se 30. October 2009, 18:42

Oh! Let's hope Gav has enough invites then

Gavin Sheedy 30. October 2009, 19:56

Basically you create projects on it that are similtaniously editable on several computers by several users, live, where the changes can be seen by one and all. And it's not limited to text.

I have more invites do, pm email addresses, I promise no spam

Gavin Sheedy 30. October 2009, 19:57

Yoda moment was that. Type well I cannot.

r♡se 30. October 2009, 21:48

Hmm... sounds like we'll need a project then :left:.

Gavin Sheedy 30. October 2009, 21:54

Or a collective story, or just an instant social scene... Google Pub! I like it! :D

r♡se 30. October 2009, 22:03

That sounds like a fun project for once

So It wouldent limit it if we pasted Windows 7 onto a document in Binary form... LMFAO!!!

Gavin Sheedy 7. November 2009, 21:49

If you have a few months to spare.

Seth C. Kingery 7. November 2009, 21:51

It would probably be quicker to just make a program that converts it automatically plus you would have to get the source code fro windows 7

Gavin Sheedy 7. November 2009, 21:53

Which would still be several gigs

Seth C. Kingery 7. November 2009, 22:02

yea. BTW how many MB's Left?

Gavin Sheedy 7. November 2009, 22:06

It's downloaded.

Gavin Sheedy 7. November 2009, 22:19

And it seems to be done.

Seth C. Kingery 7. November 2009, 22:45
