I finally found the museum for Mexico City, after several years of looking. It was worth it!

The Zocalo has undergone a Christmas transformation - a temporary ice rink has been installed. Goes nicely with all the squares other Xmas decorations.

For nearly a year a large collection of very slow workers has conspired to drag out the building of an overpass for as long as possible. Right outside my house. Bastardos. Still....its nearly finished. I think...

I don't know the real name of this market, but I do know it is vast enough to get lost in for a very long time.

A Sunday walk down La Reforma to have a look at the architecture and life in the centre of Mexico City.

A museum near Xochimilco in the south of the city, set in a large hacienda and displaying some of Mexico's most famous artists works.

At the Dolores museum, they had a very cool Day of the Dead display of skeletons.

They've been protesting on La Reforma for ages, but yesterday they brought their show to Bellas Artes.

There is a southern Mexican craft called Alebrejas. What are they? I'm not sure! Dream Creatures is perhaps the best description.

One of my favourite museums in Mexico is the San Ildefonso, which is currently hosting a Rene Burri exhibition. Well worth a visit.

We found a new museum on Sunday, all about Spanish Culture. I now have to look up what it was all about - the Spanish Exiles! Plus a few street photos.

We went away for the weekend to Huichapan to hear El Grito live from the state named after the 'Father of Independence' - Hidalgo.

I took my Nikon 8700 along to Huichapan, and played around with the macro to catch a few tiny critters and make them big!

We spent the weekend in Huichapan to help celebrate Independence Day, but we managed to venture outside the town. On Saturday we went to an aquaduct to play on a zipline and on Sunday we went to a very traditional pastime of the area - the rodeo.

There was a mighty good Oaxaca fair in the Zocalo this Sunday. And after 2 years of waiting, the damned flag unfurlled enough on a blue sky day for me to get a decent photo!
