Opera Community Forum Gets Overly Defensive Over 9.51

When is constructive criticism not constructive criticism? And politeness deemed not so?
According to the Moderators at Opera Community Forums these would seem somewhat arbitrary terms. The right to reply of a faithfull Opera user apparently counts for little.
Opera 9.51 Is A Dog!
I've been a huge fan of Opera for many years now and each 'major' update has caused me to take extra care and more time to ensure my settings and personal information doesn't get lost en route.
But this time. This time has been an utter mess. It's as if someone has given me a new browser to test and I'm left thinking, "No that's fine thanks I'll stick with Opera".
Corrupted wand/passwords. So many site that will not load. Increased CPU load overall. Missing bookmarks. Plus several changes to the way Opera performs certain tasks within the code have also left me frustrated.
Before you ask, yes I always perform a fresh install and/or USB version before importing my profile data. I've varied the scenario and repeated the exercise several times but with no improvement. I'm meticulous about backing up and upgrading software and thank goodness I am.
I'm truly amazed by how badly this version performs and from the looks of things I am not alone. I have no choice but to write off 9.51 as a complete dog of a browser and revert to an earlier version which, in terms of security alone, I am not happy about.
When I discovered Opera all those years ago it was such a relief. The Internet was enjoyable again and I was a genuine Opera evangelist ever since so I hope this is just a blip, a very minor and quickly attended to blip.

Impolite? Unconstructive? You must judge for yourself but to my mind the moderation of said forum seems to have been hit by the same buggy properties as Opera 9.51.
Also the signature referencing the previous post here, Re. File Extesions In Opera Cache, has been deleted. Poor showing guys. Far too touchy. Not a good way to create a progressive community.
Always be wary of those who seek to quell one's right to reply kids.
Current Mood: Not at all angry, just very disapointed.

I too rolled back to 9.24 when I discovered that the cache had been reprogrammed to remove the file extensions. Why? ... That removed an incredible tool for me to use as a web developer.
Please put the old cache management back in place! Why change it?

Have you seen my post on file extensions?

I want my cache file extensions back. I have just tried installing Opera 10, very disappointing... file extensions are not there yet.
I am a web developer, I want my file extensions back.
I love Opera, but guys... what's the reason for removing them?
Please, please!

Opera is a business, I don't think they don't care that much about the needs of users as such. They have their own plans.
I suggest the time is ripe for a totally new, totally configurable, open source, cross platform browser. One that isn't gecko based. Actually I'm prepared to pay for something that mirrors the same developmental drive, enthusiasm, speed and common sense that prevails over something like the REAPER community from cockos.
