Liquid Petroleum Gas and the Luxury Car Alternative driving concepts are well on the way and not only because they are environmentally friendly, but because they save money as well. LPG is not just an environmentally friendly fuel but it also it produces less in harmful pollutants and less noise. LPG costs less, gives no loss in power, is an environmentally friendly fuel, and much more. LPG is also not as widely available as petrol. LPG is non-corrosive, free of lead and heavier than air. LPG is short for Liquid Petroleum Gas, commonly known as Auto Gas, most petrol driven cars or vans (not diesels) can be converted to run on LPG which almost cuts your fuel. LPG is a by product of the extraction & refining of crude oil giving no burn off & it is very environmentally friendly. LPG is synthesised by refining petroleum or 'wet' natural gas, and is usually derived from fossil fuel sources, being manufactured during the refining of crude oil, or extracted from oil or gas streams as they emerge from the ground. LPG is non-corrosive but can dissolve lubricants, certain plastics or synthetic rubbers. Fuel economy for an LPG car is not as high as unleaded fuel, but it produces up to 10 per cent less carbon dioxide emissions, as well as lower emissions of other poisonous gases such as hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and oxides of nitrogen. Conversion kits offered include a regulator / vaporizer that changes liquid propane to a gaseous form and an air / fuel mixer that meters and mixes the fuel with filtered intake air before the mixture is drawn into the engine’s combustion chambers. In 4WD vehicles where the tank is fitted under the floor, some loss of ground clearance may be experienced. During most conversions: A steel LPG storage tank is installed, usually in the boot but it can go under the floor in vehicles with enough clearance (e. New vehicle manufacturers may supply vehicles with LPG systems installed to operate on dual-fuel or in some cases dedicated gas only. LPG vehicles also qualify for cheaper road tax. The hybrid conversion is quick and uses the vehicles existing holes and fixings and so avoids any warranty issues. Most petrol engines are suitable for an LPG conversion which means that you can enjoy the cost and environmental benefits of driving an LPG vehicle immediately after conversion. In contrast to gasoline engines, which produce high emission levels while running cold, LPG engine emissions remain similar whether the engine is cold or hot. When comparing conversion quotes its important that you compare quotes for the same type of system in order to get a valid comparison of costs. LPG is short for Liquid Petroleum Gas, commonly known as Auto Gas, most petrol driven cars or vans (not diesels) can be converted to run on LPG which almost cuts your fuel costs in half. A litre of LPG costs almost half the price of petrol. LPG is the fuel of choice for those who wish to save money and the environment by lowering their carbon footprint and fuel costs. Save up to 40% on fuel costs Rising tax on Petrol and a low tax on LPG means that LPG conversion is an economical choice for all motorists. If you travel abroad you will need an adapter as they use a slightly different filler pipe design on the continent. LPG or Autogas is a non-toxic, non-corrosive, free of lead fuel that is the cheapest viable road fuel on the market. Also helping in this regard is the fuel’s high hydrogen-to-carbonratio (C3H8), which enables propane powered vehicles to have less carbon build-up than gasoline and diesel powered vehicles. gas conversion for cars
