Walking over sky, following a bird...

Warm place

I spent some time out today, I had a training then went to get my hair cut; in 5 p.m. I had a coffee with a friend in one of the pubs on river Danube. Even though it was warm during the day - over 10C/50F - suddenly it dropped to 3C/37.4F left Later, we had a short walk by the river then I escorted her to a bus station and went home. My hands were cold and nose started running - a sure sign that winter is behind the corner lol Had plans to go out tonight, my friend invited me to photography exhibition, but felt tired and that special feeling of weariness when spending too much time out in the cold. Took a hot shower then sat in my warm and safe place.... happy

Took this photo the other day when I was changing batteries in my camera. Somehow it felt warm just looking at it. Hope you are all at safe and warm place... somewhere...

I like your wallpaper. I have several autumn images that I use this time of year. It is 71F right now at nearly 5p.m. my time, and the sun is shinging very brightly. yes

Cleanclean Saturday, October 31, 2009 9:52:29 PM

10 degrees is warm for you? You're easily pleased! wink

That's a(nother) nice photo, by the way.

How'd your foot manage training?

Darkogdare Saturday, October 31, 2009 10:08:17 PM

Linda, I like that wallpaper too, it goes well with present season bigsmile You have a sun in 5 p.m.? Probably because Texas is southern than Serbia, we had sundown at 4:28 p.m. today.

David, 10C in this part of a year is sometimes a bless lol We will have sub zero temperature tomorrow morning left
My foot is doing well, thank you, I tested it yesterday in an harder training than the one I had today, still have pangs (?) here and there, but it is recovering. I will give myself one more week though before I try with full training.

Adele BrandSittingFox Saturday, October 31, 2009 10:28:09 PM

The coffee cup just makes that photo! smile (And I don't even drink coffee coffee)

I was going to say something about 3c being cold, but I'm sure you can imagine what, so I won't zip

Dacotah Saturday, October 31, 2009 11:01:01 PM

Darko, great photo. smile
Stay warm. bigsmile

Sansanshan Saturday, October 31, 2009 11:19:05 PM

It's 12 here today! I wore shorts!

Stardancer Saturday, October 31, 2009 11:22:47 PM

Nice photo, Darko.

We had a sunny day today after mostly rainy days for the last week. Beautiful weather, after tornadoes, thunderstorms and floods.

Good day.

smile

L2D2 Sunday, November 1, 2009 12:33:48 AM

I was really, really happy to see bright sunshine here today, even if I didn't get out in it. Waiting to see what tomorrow brings, even though reports say it will be pretty again. I never believe them.

hey ook at the life you have! I guess being single, tall and handsome and with no nagging wife at home and kids with stomach aches, make the cold feel like a bad thing p

just kidding! I am glad you have a place that warms you heart and body smile
thanks for sharing,
the picture might be an "accidental" but sure attracts attention right away smile

so,
are you warmer now?

KYrenKYren Sunday, November 1, 2009 2:20:48 AM

headbang I live in the tropics, Darko. bigsmile

EricCedarFox Sunday, November 1, 2009 3:11:48 AM

I think we live on practically the same latitude, Darko. Our temperature was a lot like yours today, although it was just a degree or two warmer. smile

Anything under 20c feels too chilly to me. I actually prefer to be in 38c weather than anything else. bigsmile

Mitthaodp Sunday, November 1, 2009 5:39:59 AM

Nice picture, Darko

Hope you are all at safe and warm place

smile

Darkogdare Sunday, November 1, 2009 6:52:36 AM

Adele, yes I know lol Actually, it is not the coldness alone but the humudity in air that made me feel like staying at home. I don`t mind coldness in mountains bigsmile
pssst it was a tea in a cup smile

Carol, thank you happy

San, you wore shorts in 12C??? yikes Did you swam in open swimming pool too? scared

Star, from your and Linda`s comments I know you had a lot of raining lately. It surely feels nice to feel some sun rays on a tip of a nose bigsmile

Graham, isn`t it usual weather for GB? bigsmile

Linda, the best way to predict a weather is to take a look through a window every morning lol I don`t believe our meteorologists either, but you must believe someone lol On the other side, urban areas developed its own climate and sometimes it is hard to predict 2 or 3 days ahead.

Angeliki, I am warm now, thank you, just get up after 7 hours spent in bed bigsmile

Kim, thank you smile

Kyren, no problem for you then bigsmile Where in India you live?

Eric, I like summer the most but other sesons has its charm and I can`t expect to have winter with temperatures above 20C lol But I guess this is why we, who live in northern hemisphere think more often about tropic paradise island as an ideal place for living bigsmile

Mit, thank you, I bet you have your warm place too smile

Dacotah Sunday, November 1, 2009 6:53:11 AM

You are welcome Darko. bigsmile

Darkogdare Sunday, November 1, 2009 6:54:18 AM

smile

Dacotah Sunday, November 1, 2009 6:55:37 AM

Staying warm? bigsmile

Darkogdare Sunday, November 1, 2009 7:23:39 AM

Yes happy

L2D2 Sunday, November 1, 2009 7:38:07 AM

It stayed really pretty all day. Our time changed tonight. It was 2 a.m. and then it was 1:01 a.m. in the blink of an eye. Back to Central Standard Time till next April. I don't like.

Darkogdare Sunday, November 1, 2009 7:41:14 AM

lol But it will make you sleep one hour longer and I know you like it bigsmile

L2D2 Sunday, November 1, 2009 7:47:01 AM

I get confused----don't I lose an hour of sleep? I never can remember. It's all very confusing to my internal clock.

Darkogdare Sunday, November 1, 2009 8:40:18 AM

A clock is reversed so you have an extra hour bigsmile

KYrenKYren Sunday, November 1, 2009 8:48:44 AM

Latur. smile

Spaggyj Sunday, November 1, 2009 9:12:35 AM

Looks like a real cozy spot. I think everyone should have one little corner of haven somewhere happy

Darkogdare Sunday, November 1, 2009 9:13:14 AM

I needed to Google it to find that Latur District is in central India. Did you make a post about your place of living, I would like to read if you have? up

Darkogdare Sunday, November 1, 2009 9:14:17 AM

Kimmie, thanks, it feels nice to sit there in quiet autumn or winter evenings happy I bet you and Mik have the one for yourself bigsmile

Spaggyj Sunday, November 1, 2009 9:15:25 AM

Hmmm, mine varies on different days. I have a few places that I love to be depending on my mood.

Darkogdare Sunday, November 1, 2009 9:19:20 AM

Sometimes I feel like a cat, preferring the same spot every day lol

Mitthaodp Sunday, November 1, 2009 9:43:01 AM

You are welcome, Darko. I have my warm place happy pssst and now it seem to be warmer than I want - with 31C bigsmile

Spaggyj Sunday, November 1, 2009 9:43:23 AM

That's sweet lol

Allanricewood Sunday, November 1, 2009 9:52:11 AM

Nice place you've got there smile

And warm moods can come from a photo with an incorrectly colour temperature setting wink "Perfect" photos are often boring.

Dacotah Sunday, November 1, 2009 10:23:34 AM

Darko happy

Linda, you can an hour of sleep in the fall when we turn our clocks back. Loose an hour when we spring forward an hour.
Easy to remember "Fall back, spring forward". bigsmile

Bud McDonnellfammcdon Sunday, November 1, 2009 1:48:11 PM

Nice post. cheers I'll be safe and warm once my girlie gets here. yes

PainterWoman Sunday, November 1, 2009 1:58:45 PM

I like the mood and the lighting of this picture. It's almost as if there is a nice fire going in a fireplace behind you.

It has been very nice here the last couple of days, 45 to 50F in the early morning but warming to 65 to 72F during the day. Lots of sun and no wind.

The few days before that it was 55F and windy in the middle of the day. Too cold for us Arizonans. I didn't dress warmly enough the first of those days. I wore short sleeves, capri pants and sandals and since I was working outside, near water and in the shade, I ended up having to leave after only 20 minutes because I was too cold. If it hadn't been so windy, I might have been ok.

Sansanshan Sunday, November 1, 2009 2:29:02 PM

It was sunny too. No wind. Isn't 12 warm? Hey we all live in igloos here in Canada. rolleyes

KYrenKYren Sunday, November 1, 2009 2:42:47 PM

Hey Mik and Kim, I am sorry if you are hurt by the question, but remember I am an OBC in my country. You have misinterpreted my comment. I will never hurt deliberately making racist comments.
Dark I am sorry if you are also hurt, I was just curious.
Btw, I do not have much to say about Latur so I do not write anything about it. I was mainly here to write on the caste system and I had written what I wanted to write, but a Brahman made derogatory comments on my blog so I had to delete the posts. I am rewriting my blog. Then I am leaving OC.

TotZulia Sunday, November 1, 2009 4:00:09 PM

KYraaan! WAAAIT! no no no its not like that!
That Brahman, you dont care bout him! There is no caste or class here in oc! we are all equals n friendsz!

Spaggyj Sunday, November 1, 2009 6:40:55 PM

Not offended, just baffled by the things you bring up sometimes.

Darkogdare Sunday, November 1, 2009 6:55:54 PM

Leaz, I am glad bigsmile

Bud, I hope it will be soon. What is going on with her, I don`t see her around lately. Busy again?

Pam, I wear winter ski jacket and winter shoes for about a week now. No sandals for me until next summer awww

San, how could I forgot that?? doh p So, what`s the temperature in your igloo?

Kyren, now I got it. You know, I don`t live in a country that ever had racist or caste problems. We do have chauvinism, both religious and nationalist, but I succeeded to stay out of it so far. I had to, half of my family are of Slovakian origins and the other half is from Croatia. My grandpa has Montenegring blood. And we all live in Serbia. One third of family are Roman Catholics, another third are Evangelistics and the last third are Serbian Orthodox Christians. How could I take sides unless I want to hurt someone I am very close to? I am sorry if you can`t stay above problems you have with people of higher caste. 1s and 0s here don`t tell your colour, religion, nationality... caste.

r♡serose-marie Sunday, November 1, 2009 8:06:36 PM

Ooh, that does look a like warm and cosy corner! happy
Autumn is really here, with grey and damp weather. We have sundown at 16:30 already. I miss the sun! Thank goodness it's less than two months until we start heading towards lighter times again bigsmile.

Darkogdare Sunday, November 1, 2009 8:24:59 PM

Rose, it s a corner of my small room, I made a photo from a bed. If you take a look at that photo I left on your post, you will see the book shelf behind my back. I was sitting in front of computer there bigsmile

MinaMinenow Sunday, November 1, 2009 9:39:15 PM

*smiles* I love the picture, and glad I got to see it on the computer. Quite lovely, yes, warm, and relaxing.

It isn't warm here, but I have two blankets and lots of warm thoughts.

When needed, a good cup of cocoa or a hot toddy can do wonders too.. o

Hope you been well, Dare..and that things are less stressful at work...smile

Darkogdare Sunday, November 1, 2009 10:36:50 PM

Actually, I am feeling quite good now. Life has its soft sides, sometimes....
