Still alive

The last weeks, my diploma thesis keeps me away from updating gellertstreet. But now, I am ready since quite happy. There will be a meeting at my academy in early September where I get my chance to present my work and finally get the grade. The study at all is going to finish at third of Octobre with a formal ball organized by lovely fiancee and a close friend Frank.

Of course, the last weeks also included some moments for keeping away from scientific work. For example there was a beautiful weekend at my fiancées place near Bonn at the beautiful Rhine. The picture above provides you an image of German summer.

There was also a weekend at my parents place. We took some time for a visit in Görlitz, one of the European cultural hot spots. The beautiful architecture in this city is indicated by the picture above.

In order not to bore you, gellertstreet.com will present two features soon. The first will present you some high dynamic range pictures of Dresden. The second will be a discography of a young and highly talented songwriter.

Food retailing and corn

Since last entry, the world has turned several times (15x). My last exams are over and I am just prepearing for my oral diploma examination. My lovely fiancée and I decided to learn at ours place in Western Germany directly near Bonn at the beautiful right Rhineside.

The image above was taken at the careers day organized by the Lebensmittelzeitung. Yes, the one left is me, listening to a selection of speakers of German and international food retailing. It gave me a good orientation for market situation right now and some future perspectives.

Last but not least there is a new picture at redbubble.com. My fiancée made while exploring the fields behind my aunts garden.

Yes we ... do well

This might be the modern way to describe the German way of live. Since yesterday Horst Köhler was voted again for being president of Germany. The election was not very sensational, the election campaign also. This might be the only country where a campaign for president will be rewarded when it is silent and modest. But this is the way most of us like it. So congratulation to Horst Köhler and please do well.
I found a nice video on spiegel.de which presents a good profile of German feelings and thoughts.

The date of my last blog entry is making me shocked. Fourteen days with no update. At least, I posted a new article on business-consulting-wolf a few days ago. I am just concentrated on my final exams. The first test will be at the end of this week, business English. It is followed by political economics, special business economics, controlling, management of human resources and company management. All in all, I am looking forward to present my knowledge in the very best way I can.

As you imagine learning sometimes drives you crazy. Today I got the chance of entering the world behind the window. My fiancée and I spend some hours at Lake Pöhl and try to philosophize about globalization in English language. This will be an important part in the English exam. I took a picture of Lake Pöhl as you see above. Springtime is excellent for swimming a longer distance. The quality of water was extraordinary, very clear and very fresh. Hopefully my mind will become as fresh as the water in exams.

Learning with hunger is not a quiet good idea. So cooking is always a pleasant change. We always try to keep an eye on healthy cooking and as you see, it is not less delicate ;-)
