Professorship in classics

The School of Classics in the University of St Andrews is advertising a new Professorship in Classics.
  This post is available from January 2013 or earlier. We are seeking to maintain and enhance the academic excellence of the School of Classics by the appointment of a major scholar with internationally recognised expertise in any area of the history, languages, literatures, and culture of Greek and Roman antiquity. The successful candidate will be required to teach undergraduates and postgraduates for the School’s degree programmes in Ancient History, Classics, Classical Studies, Greek and Latin, to supervise PhD students, and to conduct research that meets the highest standards of excellence.
