How can we help?

The man who took this photo took his life few months later, after recieving a Pulitzer price for feature photography.
The photo was a hit overnight and people wanted to know if the child is still alive. The photographer was strongly criticised for just having taken the photo and not helped the child. It's so easy to criticise whith a cup of cofee in one hand and the newspaper in the other, sitting confortably at the brakefast table. We've seen this one, but how many such pictures the photographer has seen. How many children dying of starvation in front of his eyes, how many vultures feeding on children corpses ... and how many sensless people wearing uniforms and supporting, even causing this state.
In the email, this was written too:
MAKE YOUR PROMISE TODAY.....
"I WILL NEVER WASTE MY FOOD"
Is THIS a solution??? Not wasting our food?? No one lives from our non wasted food!
There's nothing wrong whit not wasting food of course. It's just that it doesen't help anyone except yourself!
The origin of the famine has nothing to do whith our food wasting... The famine like the one in Sudan in the 90. or the one in Darfur today has a very well known origin: WAR.
I'm revolted because no one EVER says that children starving to death are actually casualities of war. War prevents people from seeding and harvesting their food, from traveling and pasturing normaly through the country and producing their food.
Even worse: WAR DESTROYS FOOD. War destroys more food than both you and me - than all of us - will EVER be able to waste!
If you want to help children from starving, stop supporting WAR and people especialy politicians who support war. There's NO JUST war. Not one.
If you're against war express your opinion everywhere you can! There's just to many people expressing the oposit one!
And yes, give charity if you can. But be carefull to whom! Charity is not charity: it's just giving them back what we took from them when we bought a kilo of extremely cheap bananas, rice, cocoa, or ... oil!
Remember: you're not guilty but you CAN help!
STOP WARS, STOP THE WARMAKERS! STOP being part of it. SAY NO!
