Brian's Blog

So this past weekend was yet another great one. On Saturday I hosted the Beer Olympics which turned into some sort of volleyball tournament with lots of other yard games going on at the same time. Both brats and beer were definitely not in short supply and I am pretty sure everyone, including myself, had a great time. I always enjoy get togethers at my house not only because I get to hang out with good friends, I get to see those friends (and this time family!) that I do not get to see nearly often enough. I even had some cousins come down for the event. I am pretty sure 1 out of every 2 people got sunburned...at least slightly because it was such a nice, hot day! I am going to try to get pictures posted to Facebook tonight.

On Sunday, my cousin Travis and I made an early trip out to the family cottage in Wautoma. We met up with my aunt and uncle and two cousins Jacob and Emily. We helped out a bit around the cottage with replacing some screen doors but had a great time. My Uncle Bob even took us out on the boat tubing while I held on for dear life. I forgot how sore you get after tubing... We made it home in time for a family dinner which I may have fallen asleep and had to be woken up for...but had a great dinner for Tim and my mom as it was their 1 year anniversary.

This summer is just beginning but it is already looking to be one of the best.
