My First Post

This is my first attempt at blogging. I do not know exactly what I want to do. But, I am sure it will come to me as I get going in this whole foray.
As far as golfing is concerned, I used to golf a lot. Golfing was my life. During the height of the season, I would golf three to five times per week. My handicap hovered between 10 - 12. I wasn't great. But, I wasn't bad by any means (comparing myself to the many golfers I paired up with over the years). I truly loved to get out and swing my clubs, take a walk, and be humbled by a game that veritably puts one in their place when it comes to sports.
I met the woman of my dreams while living in Chicago. She showed interest in golfing with me from the get-go. I built her a set of clubs so we could go to the driving range and hit a few from time to time. She was pretty good for not ever having even known what golf was for the most part, much less swung a club before. We married 10 months after we met, moved back to Minnesota where we figured family would be a factor in our lives (I'm sure this will be another post later), had a couple of kids, and haven't really been out golfing since.
I love my family and the life we have. But, I miss getting out and hitting the links on a somewhat regular basis. The interesting thing I have found over this last six years is that I do not understand how the masses of people out in this world of ours can be well enough to-do that they can enjoy a nice house, nice cars (yes, multiple ones), a boat, a wife and children and still have enough time and money to be on the links. I consider myself to be extremely marketable when it comes to work, yet my income is not enough to even come close to those that I have played a round with on a sunny day.
My ultimate question is...what do I need to do in order to get ahead in this game of life and still be able to get back to the hobby I enjoy the most?
