When buggyboards can help you.

, , , ...

Little Johnny now has limbs that are fully working. He's too big to use a push chair but still too small to walk a whole morning around the mall. You do not want to be the parent of a big kid in a push chair and even worse little Johnny has a sibling. You don't want to carry little Johnny and push little Annie and struggle with the shopping all at once. What to do?

Option A: become as the great Indian elephant God Gnesh and appear with a couple of extra limbs.

Option B: fish out your credit card and buy a double buggy for those times little Johnny is too tired to walk anymore and is sending the whinging vibes through your ears and breaking through to the insides of your parental guilt zone or

Option C: purchase a buggyboard.

What does a buggyboard do?

Imagine a sawn-off skate board with the each wheel turned round and linked to the back of your child's chair. A little like urban surfing for toddlers. Little Johnny just has to stand on the board that's attached to the back of the child's chair. You no longer have to run after Little Johnny when he makes a run for it in the middle of a thronging sidewalk - you have him right in front of you, great for when you are going across busy streets. The boards are usually designed so that they can be lifted and hooked up to the back of the buggy out of the way. So it will still free up the buggy to fold up neatly and be placed in the trunk of your car. As an extra bonus this will be a fun way for Little Johnny to travel.

Some companies make their own buggyboards but if yours does not there will be a board that will connect - most are fixed to the metallic poles that run down into the wheels. A little investigation will make it clear if your child's chair is compatible.
