Maps by Idelix mashes google maps, Yahoo! local maps, and Windows live local with PDT

We now have Pliable Display Technology in an AJAX environment.... I've always been a huge fan of the Idelix PDT technology and have to say I'mnot really that surprised that they came out with this... kudos to Idelix for this sweet application which can be found at http://www.maps.idelix.com. From the company... The PDT "lens" is available for users to explore and discover. PDT eliminates repetitive zoom and pan steps, allowing users to see the detail they want, while retaining the surrounding context. Users can choose to view the satellite or hybrid data through the PDT lens but retain location-based context of their area by displaying the map view outside the lens. PDT can also highlight search results, follow directions, see critical manoeuvre detail easily, and more. Give it a test run for yourself as you swap between the 3 map services and pan around using the PDT lens enabling fast, smooth navigation without zooming in and out wasting your valuable time. I followed I-25 south from Fort Collins into Denver, compared the services and swapped from street map to photo. Having the aerial photography on the map and the street-level map in the lens was totally awesome and a very interesting way to explore the landscape... this one rocks... congrats again!
