Boy, only in Canada eh?? It's days like this that remind me why I spent 4+ years in Florida and am now looking at making a return to Colorado... Canada is brilliant at sticking it to themselves, forget about taking care of yourself but always stick your nose elsewhere and open your arms and wallets to the do-gooders. Ya I'm ranting today a bit but things like Canada once again not deporting a "most wanted" drug lord back to China (no, we'll keep him here safe and comfy), the constant help offered to US draft dodgers and those that go AWOL... a community here in BC recently opened their arms to a dodger offering him and his family food, housing, a job etc... now, even here in my own red-neck town of Nanaimo (it doesn't get more red-neck than this, believe me!) they are about to start fining pan handlers... not sure where they will get the money to pay for the fine ;0) Hey Canada, a message... maybe you should start looking after your own and cleaning up your own yard
1-renounce your canadian citizenship
2-move to the states
3-problem solved
remember, god helps those who help themselves.
by all means come live down here permanently, go though the countless years of immigration proceedings, only to find you filled the wrong answer in some obscure form and it's all being sent back to you to re-process.
come down here, where if you give some idiot a wrong look, he might just shoot you because he's having a bad day.
come on down here and feel safe knowing that someone in the government may be listening in on your phone conversations to your girlfriend or whomever.
i am canadian and share dual citizenship, there are many things about this country(US) i like, but there are many things i severely dislike. and the same thing can be said about canada. but if your problem is how panhandlers are going to pay thier fines then i think you ought to stop complaining and be thankful for the things you do have up there.
btw, i lived in victoria for 16 years, trust me nanaimo isnt as redneck as you can get, keep going north, try tofino or uculet, or even port hardy
