check in from San Jose waiting for Where 2.0

Hi all, just checking out my wi-fi in the hotel here in San Jose on a gorgeous Sunday in Silicon Valley. The only pitfall of this trip so far is that I'm running on about 3 hours sleep and had to get up at about 4:30 AM for a 6 AM flight.. ouch. Connections were all great and I even managed to score my TN work visa today in Seattle without a hitch. I've done tons of research on the topic and have held TNs and an H Visa in the past so I'm not terribly surprised... kudos to the Seattle DHS people for getting me through just in time to make my connection. Then on to San Fran (I couldn't get a hop to San jose at a decent time) where I grabbed BART then switched to Caltrain for a nice relaxing ride into San Jose. I then walked around, granned a latte, and found my hotel (a cheapo Radison) but its actually really clean, free wi-fi, pool etc... what a score! Just checked and cleaned out my email, ditched all the spam mail, and got a couple of surprise emails from Lynn Allen (who's in europe right now) and Sue or Sue & Jesse at Veryspatial... I'm looking forward to meeting them finally. Oh... thanks to AT&T for sponsoring a free open house today at TheTech museum here in San Jose (what a fun place to get the skinny on technology) when in Rome do as the Romans eh! I'm now going to try an upload a few pics to my GISuser Flickr although my Bluetooth keeps crapping out on me and I forgot my cameraphone cable... Oops! I could email them up I guess although the roaminng fees on data are pretty huge... one day in my dreams I'll have an "all you can eat" mobile data plan and roaming fees will be a thing of the past... ya right! We can wish... Later (sent from my Dell notebook via Wi-fi)

Zoe my pooch always gets a bit bummed when I hit the road - she's thinking she'd like to be at Where 2.0 as well!
