Rumors of Google buying out Opera

I really don't believe it, and I wouldn't like Google buying Opera. I love Google and I love Opera, but I don't think they're meant for this. Odds are that it is just a rumor, but anyway, just in case it is true, I liked what they said about von Tetzchner (Opera's CEO) refusing several similar proposals before.

Let me restate what I said. Such an event might have a happy ending, but it seems to me that happiness is the least probable of the possible outcomes. Let Google do what they are best at: searching. And let Opera do what they are best at: browser technologies. Google is doing a great job as the best Internet company out there at the moment. I'm afraid that they screw it up while also bringing down another web star. Google and Opera are my two favorites, please don't clash!
