Portugal is a country that always had great players but we always managed to underachieve in the World Cup. Actually this is only the 4th World Cup that we will attend, in 66 we finished 3rd and than in 86 and 02 we did not go to the next round.

Both in 86 and 02 the team was market with many scandals and crap coaches that cared more about names rather than the team. This is the cue to why i think we will do great! We have a team!

Scolari or Big Phil is a master in creating good team spirit and not caring about the player name, this is key for Portugal, to many times we went to the field and thought the game was won because we were Portugal.

I have high hopes for Deco and Ronaldo to shine, Deco is in the peak of his game and Ronaldo needs to confirm all his potential. Figo will play in last games for Portugal and will for sure want to out out with a bang!

Portugal can match any team on talent and if we get the "luck" and Pauleta is scoring we can win it!

There is not much hype around Portugal which is good we can prepare in the right way.

Ricardo; Paulo Ferreira, Meira, Carvalho, Miguel; Petit, Maniche, Deco; Figo, Ronaldo, Pauleta.

I would actually play Nuno Gomes upfront because I think he "gels" better with the others.
