Learning to Teach

Well, I have decided I would like to teach English to Japanese speakers, so if I am not around much then you know why. I am trying to sort everything out so I can be qualified, then who knows what will happen!

If anyone has any ideas that may help, I would appriciate it!

Pocky Man :DAgain, sorry for my absence.

Hi, welcome back!
Have you tried this one, JET Programme?

I had just read about that yesterday. It sounds pretty good, though I have to have a degree in something. I came to the USA after high school so I am far behind in that respect. I am thinking of doing a distance learning thing from the UK while my papers clear here.

Also, I've had a lot to think about. Such as care fro my Autistic son. I am not sure what to do, but I am not leaving him. Maybe his first words will be in Japanese? lol.

Thanks for the suggestion, I will read more into it. Isn't that the program where you become an ALT?

Sorry I had forgotton that you needed to stay in the states. I don't know things in the United States, though distance learning seems a good idea as it gives you qualification. Have you tried Yamato Damacy forum? Jessi may return to States in the summer, and there maybe some people who know the situation in teaching English to Japanese in the States...

Or if there is a Japanese community near where you live, there maybe community newspaper you can put your advertisement. There maybe a Japanese BBS in the states, exchanging information...

Good luck

Looks like I might be returning home after all. Maybe we could talk it over a couple of Marmite crumpets if we do come back soon. lol. So right now I have to find out about getting the wife and kids back home.

One of the reasons is that we just seem to be watching our lives going passed our eyes. I know it sounds stupid, being I am only 23, but we got married when we were 18 years old, and since then nothing has happpened (Appart from the little ones of course) of any note. I have a goal now, and I think going home may be the best solution, especially for my little boy.

I have a lot to think about right now, but I'll talk to you again soon. Thanks for the great help!

Open the doors...If you don't have a key, go get a key. If you have a strong will, knock it hard and door may open, but don't break the door. You only need to make it happen. I wish I could go back to my 20's again!

Happy independence to you and your family!

Yeah, I don't want to miss out on my young years you know? Well. I will let you know if anything comes up. By the way, do you like my new icon? I recieved a copy of 'ぐりとぐら’ from my good friend in Yamaguchi. Love it

lol that reminds me, I was singing '春がきた’ to my baby girl and I swear she is trying to sing, and in Japanese as well!

What was the song about the white goat who wrote a letter to the black goat, but the black goat ate it and had to go ask the white goat what he wrote about? lol

ぐりとぐら、なつかしい。

The song you mentioned is やぎの郵便屋さん:smile:

Is your wife Japanese? How come you know Japanese nursery rhymes?
I like 犬のおまわりさん

Hehe. My wife is not Japanese (Though she says she wishes she was. She says how Japanese are effortlessly beautiful, and that she could help me with Japanese hehe), I just watch a lot of Japanese TV, and read a lot about Japan.

Thanks for letting me know the name of the song :D It's been driving me crazy lol. I will have to see if I can get some audio recordings of them. I think they might even have some at our library

I have nooooootstudied so much recently due to sickness and just plain burn out. じぶんで難しいんだよね

じゃね。
