Hey I've been there.

Not a wife. Just grew up that way. Riding the country roads. Even driving them. They let young-uns drive way too young -but hey who is going to get the milk. I worked on the farm, got the berries, etc. A totally different part of my life. Way different.

Never, in the trunk or on the porch. Always beside you. We had this beautiful wrap around porch and I had this gorgeous collie that was always by my side. Met me at the bus stop.

I had this gorgeous Australian Shepherd.
He sat in the front with me.

Every time I took him swimming he was the first one out. When it was time to go I had to get in the water, pick him up and put him back in the car.

My counsins used to climb into their cars like that.
