What Does the Word Family Mean? (thanks Brian)

I ran into a stranger as he passed by,
'Oh excuse me please' was my reply.
He said, 'Please excuse me too;
I wasn't watching for you.'
We were very polite, this stranger and I.
We went on our way and we said goodbye.
But at home a different story is told,
How we treat our loved ones, young and old.
Later that day, cooking the evening meal,
My son stood beside me very still.
When I turned, I nearly knocked him down.
'Move out of the way,' I said with a frown.
He walked away, his little heart broken.
I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.
While I lay awake in bed,God's still small voice
came to me and said,
'While dealing with a stranger,
common courtesy you use,
but the family you love, you seem to abuse.
Go and look on the kitchen floor,
You'll find some flowers there by the door.
Those are the flowers he brought for you.
He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue.
He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise,
you never saw the tears that filled his little eyes.'
By this time, I felt very small,
And now my tears began to fall.
I quietly went and knelt by his bed;
'Wake up, little one, wake up,' I said.
'Are these the flowers you picked for me?'
He smiled, 'I found 'em, out by the tree.
I picked 'em because they're pretty like you.
I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue.'
I said, 'Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today;
I shouldn't have yelled at you that way.'
He said, 'Oh, Mom, that's okay.
I love you anyway.'
I said, 'Son, I love you too,
and I do like the flowers, especially the blue.'
FAMILY
Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company
that we are working for could easily replace us in
a matter of days.
But the family we left behind will feel the loss
for the rest of their lives.
And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more
into work than into our own family,
an unwise investment indeed,
don't you think?
So what is behind the story?
Do you know what the word FAMILY means?
FAMILY = (F)ATHER (A)ND (M)OTHER (I) (L)OVE (Y)OU

It's so easy to forget who we are sometimes.

I take: Topamax, Trileptal, Zonegran and Klonopin. I also take Verapimal for HBP and Zomig both for my severe headaches after my seizures. Do you get headaches after your seizures?
I even have Morphine here if it gets too bad, but I rarely, if ever take that.
I mostly just take my seizure meds and also my blood pressure meds.
How do you like Topamax? Some people hate it. I love it. It has been great for me.

good for you! surgery fantastic! i am most happy for you.
couple few times i was tested but. i can not be a candidate because three lobes of my brain are affected. i have more than one type of epilepsy that is to say.
good luck and congratulations to you!
trileptal. zonegram. many many others...
try a few months/years of trial to no avail and move on.
so far topamax i can not keep levels on. as with all others. ALL others.
same with lamictal. but. i am only so far on a low dosage. only of 700mg. and 600mg. of lamictal. so is room to play yet. because. neither either both? they hardly do register in my blood. it is my metabolism! cRaZy!
yes yes O i get headaches. migraines they turn into furthermore. as a family trait. MUCH medication is tried for this. big problem here is i can not take many from mitro valve alap and it makes a problem for my hands and more from medications such as Zomig and Imitrex and the like. also i am allergic deathly from aspirin and ibuprofen. i have such limits.
finally we do this for now. 2 fioricet as needed. 2 tramadol as needed. use inhale in nose the spray of Migranal. because it is not so much as all over. for pain from muscle spasm mostly is best to use just the patches from morphine i save. but this gives to me nausea.

One friend I went to the movies with even told me I wasn't there for a part of the movie, then all of a sudden came back, so I guess I should add absent seizure to the mix.
It is so hard to find the right medicine. I have been on so many.
