India, Rhino, Assam, Wildlife
Was just browing through some of the blogs in Opera and came across Melissa's Blog "Not Much to say but I will Try" here there was a post of saving the Rhinos from South Africa. For me being in Afica for 2 years and visiting so many countries makes me feel this is the only continent which was made for both wild animals and Man. The co existence between the two was unique until modernization has taken over. This must be arrested and animals need their cover and land back along with indigenous people who may want to co exist.Melissa I think you want this to happen.
Back home in India I stay in the North East and now my home is Shillong, Meghalaya, India. Close by is the state of Assam home of the one horned Rhino's. Along with my daughter we went to a nearby wild life sanctuary called Pabitora, where we wanted to see the One Horned Rhino. We were dismayed as due to heavy rains the sanctuary was closed and when we arrived we saw that the water levels were so high that the animals had to take refuge in small hills where water had not yet reached. It appears the need was so desperate that deers and Rhinos were sharing the same hill standing stand by side not harming each other and waiting for the water to recede. We could not see any animals due to the floods caused by rains.

swimming, life, death, dachshund
What can be better than sinking and then swimming together. We all do and perhaps this makes life worth living. Exactly a month ago our pet Dachshund loving called Jaan died on June 13th 2012. Being with us for 10 full years he was impacting our lives more than we impacted him. In fact in Hindi Jaan meant 'Life'. He was our life and life without him was simply worthless. The day he was no more it was like a bombshell which fell on us. Since then we have been grieving and grieving. We cannot give sainthood to Dog's but if we could we would have. Thus one month after he was gone, that was yesterday we missed him do much.
As all of us console ourselves we say he will live in our hearts for ever. May he.
