Twelve Tribe member Interrelationships
This is an effort to show how the management (Shepherds), the disciples and the cut off (non Twelve Tribe Members inter react. The Twelve Tribes has twelve divisions called Tribes, these tribes are located in North America, South America, Australia and Europe. There aren't any tribes reserved for Africa and Asia. Each tribe is dived into geographical regions. The Regions are further divided into Clans. The Clans are composed of Families, Single Brothers and Single Sisters.
New members are expected to give up all to serve “the Master”. This means personal property, Cars, Cell phones, Income, real property,personal time and family relationships are to be subordinated to the Masters will. The disposition of a members property is determined at social meetings by the shepherds. The member will be told of the decisions after the shepherds meeting. Long time members are allowed to possess personal property, that is involved in their service to the Master, Cars, Cell Phones, income, etc.
A Twelve Tribes members time is dedicated to the master. Twice a day prayer meetings are mandatory, Three times a week teachings are mandatory, and Friday night along with Sabbath Day activities must be attended. Married people are allowed one night a week of free time, at this time their children will be watched by other members, This time is called “Family Night”.
A member is always supervised. At all times a member must be in contact with another member. Men and Women are only allowed to talk to each other with the Shepherds consent. Members of the opposite sex must have permission from the sheperds for conversation and/or physical contact, such as holding hands.
The Doctrine
As a means of finding common ground in a description to non members the Twelve Tribes describe themselves as Messianic Jews. The main doctrine of the Twelve Tribes is called the Fundamental Teachings. The Fundamental Teachings are revelations to the “Anointed” in the last thirty five years. Most of the class material comes from the “Communicator”, a publication given to the Shepherds. The Bible is often quoted and used to justify the Twelve Tribe lifestyle while at the same time, they cynically say that you can get the Bible to say anything.
The Twelve Tribes will say that they are not “Christian”. The Name Joshua, (Jesus) and Yahweh (Jehovah) are used to make this distinction from Christianity. All that is required of a Twelve Tribe member is to unquestionably follow direction from the Shepherds, while allowing the Shepherds to determine what is ethical. A further distinction from Christianity is that what are considered Christian Virtues, Telling the Truth, and restraint from stealing are not required of a Twelve Tribe Disciple. The Christian Virtues are not encouraged by the Shepherds.
