Tough month- september

when i arriving in israel after 3 weeks of training camp in sweden i had a big motivaition to make my trainings harder and more tough then they been in the past. i am really feeld that the israeli orienteering is very easy and sometimes the local events won who know the map better- becouse the map is not well and who know this problem have advantage, and sometimes the control no in the right place or its in not clear simbole.

i took a part this month in some local competitions just to feel again the israeli grwond(sweden- i miuss u).
i didnt really liked the events but its o.k becouse its israel and i can't to expected for a high level of making courses.

this month i made every week between 6-7 trainings of runing and after every training i go to swiming pool. and some GYM to be stronger. i felt good and my body become more strong for my back from my injury. this time i feel good fizikly and its seems like that my injury is gone. :D


hope for the next local event will be better and i can't wait for the new season of leaugh competition that will start in 24 october.

this weekend i enjoied in TURKEY-Anatalya vecaition- eating a lot and have a fun. of course that i am not rest from trainings and i did trainings on the beach thier- very nice place and view on the mountains in Turkey.


hope to add a maps from the last events in israel soon and the next map competitions.

tierd but happy to work hard- tomarrow first competition

this morning we go to do training near to our forest and run 20 minuts joging a littel on the road and like it, the map well and the feeling when i am in the forest is so high.
today we ran a course after some joging. the course was the "test course" 2.7 kilometers and i run it easy and along to know how i do orienteering along on swedeish terrain. i felt in control and just 30 secounds of mistaks- really good.
i did this course in 17:34 and i ran in 70%.

then we back in nice runing 20 minuts of runing on the road and in some paths and nice forest.
then we did strach to be fresh for the competition tomarrow.

now we are going to Nissa perents home to live thier the weekend and to take a part in the competition 2 days JARLABULAN near to Nissa perents home.

today i will go to the orienteering shop in the town soo today only 1 training befor my competition tomarrow.

hope for good results tomarrow but remember that i just need to be focus and good things will happen.

soo far eating really well and a lot of energy.
well soo far amazing trainings in great forest and feel good a littel tierd but sleep is the solution.

first day training in sweden

today we wake up in 9 aclok and go to super market to buy food for the next days.
then we go to outside from the apartment for a long runing in the forest.
the forest is very nice and i'ts good map. i'ts really nice to do orienteering on this map becaouse a lot of details and nice paths that happen this orienteering for more exiting.
we in the forest most of the time and Nissa runing first and i was need to know all the time where we are and i like it, diffrent place and nice weather made it very fun.
then we makes some flags for the "test run" tomarrow- i'ts 2.7 kilometers with 12 controls and Nissa suppost that we can do about 4:30 per kilometer (i think 5:15) every week we will see how we will improve on this race every week.
and we finish our training after 91 minuts.

then we eating lunch- sheep and a lot of pasta and vegterbls and some tomato soshe its was very nice tasty and delishes.

then we took a break to sleep.

in the evning 6 a'clock we go to do eintervals training on the track.befor we did 15 minuts joging and some fast runing and knees up and down and some fast gams, then we make some stretch and then we started our training eintervals.
150 metters on track- 8 times in max, 45 secounds rest between each einterval.
i did it in max at feel good but after the training "asririm sheli netfesu kzat" and i felt bad but then i runing slowly and then is over.
we eating nice dinner with sheep and good cuscus.

in short, very nice and hard first day.

training camp in sweden start now!

yesterday i started my training camp in sweden when i meet Nissa in the central staition of Stockholm.
i am really exciting to start this training camp and suppost that will give me the new level and more imcorftebl in my orienteering.
i am sure that i can be better then i now in orienteering and now i have all the conditions becouse i feel great in my body and no injuries anymore this life!!

soo i wish just to keep working in amazing areas and can't wait for a new trainings in swedish forest.

my new trip will be soon!

my trip to sweden olmost ready.
will go thier in 12th until 12th in august.
my plane is to do trainings and in the weekends go to competitions near to Stockholm.
i have a swedish partner and my friend Nissa and we are planing to do 17 days of taining and competition in sweden.

one day i will go to Kolmarden to do trainings with Anna Forsberg (the winner of o-ringen in D20E) and training with O.K KOLMARDEN.

hopw to go early becaouse now i can't wait for this training camp!

soo olmost ready and just need to wait 12 more days for my flight.
i think that i will back strong enough for a new season in israel- its will start from september until may.

i will upload my blog from sweden hopfully with some maps from my trainings thier.

training camp in sweden

12/8-30/8- training camp in sweden with Nissa.
in august i plane go to sweden and to do training camp with my friend from stockholm. intensive trainings in scandavian areas with great competition in 3 weekends of competitions around stockholm.

i plane to do 2 trainings per day, but to be listhening to my feeling:D
we are look to do trainings with a club of my friend Nissa- JARLA IF and look for a great trainings in this terrain. i expected to learn more about this nice terrains and look for a great times and very technical trainings for my goal- to be better in scandavian terrains.
my federition help me with this training camp- they give me 500$ and its great.

today i closed my flight to sweden with a good prize.
i look for this training camp to be my first time to be ready for a next season in israel and finally the next juli of jwoc 2010 in Denmark.

hope its will be like the program of trainings that i will do.


last suterday i was in a cermoney of my federition and i won the 3 place at H21E class:D in the leauge in israel (12 competitions).
after the cermony i took a part in sprint competition and i won the 3 place (again!!)


next week will be the EYOC and JWOC and i will stay at home- such a bad feeling but its one of days for a runner and we need to take it for a right way.
anyway my friend ARAM YAAKOBI will take a part in jwoc in italia and my couch ODED VERBIN will be the trainner. good luck to Aram!! he is very strong and i wish him that he can to be in a good place (mayby middel final who know:D)

finish high school- now start the real life

yesterday i been in a cermony for my finish high school after 12 years of hard working (noo soo much).
i got my diploma and its was great for me, my average score was 81! graet for me.

this times i start my littel vecaition befor my first trainings on the first of juli. until this time i do between 4-5 easy trainings per week, i try to do them in the forest with a lot of kinds of orienteering trainings.

now is the time for some free time, vollyball on the beach and a lot of girls :cool:
and some good beer and some party...

such a bad news- no JWOC this year for sure

yesterday i getting the answer from my trainer Oded and he told me about the decision of israeli fedreition to not allowed me go to jwoc becaouse i am not did thier criterions/condisens of them.
the condisions is: 10:00 minuts in 3000 metters on the track
7:10 per kilometer in 5 competitions leauge in israel (12competitions)

this criterions is not reality in israel.
first of all in israel have some bad maps and becouse the version of mappers you loose time in the course.
in israel a lot of stones on the grownd that effect about the fast runing and the last, in israel some big hills that is course can to be 7.7 kolmeters and its can to be 400 climb, and this race my fedretion expect from our runners to do 7:10 per kilometer and its really tough and i think not immposible and the other reason is the version of maps, its very bad.

the secound criterion is 10:00 minuts in 3000 meters.
its immposible just for a runner he training most of the time on the track.
for runing this race (3000 metters) you need to work about this runing and to know how the share your power.

when i talking with a manager of israel team he told me that i can't go along to eyoc 2009 in serbia becose its not immposible and i was can to do the conditions for it.
anyway Aram member of israel team olmost dine the criterions and the federition decide to send him to jwoc- i wish him good luck!

soo i just said that our fedreition need to think about criterions and he cant to be diffrent from other criterion of other countries.

its really bad becouse most of the countries in the world do a selection races to decide like a results in the speicel competition who will compete in a netional competition.
in israel its diffrent they expect from the runners to be good all the years. its not the some like in europ. in israel our season start on september and finish in juni.
and the problem is my rest becouse in the summer i compete in europ and want to be in a good shape for my summer competition and i need to be in a good shape in february (when is the israel champion ship) and from october to may (when is the competitions leauge) soo my rest is not happen.

becouse of that i think most of the time i am injury in the first of april.
its like that in the last 2 years always i injury this time of season.

i think the israeli federition need to change her critrions like most of the countries by a selection race.


i hope to find a power and move on for a graet summer in sweden, i planing trip of 3 weeks in scandavian summer.
in november i will join to the army in a speicel conditions and i hope i will be better in my fizickly position for a next goal JWOC 2010 in Denmark. i just need to push this year in my trainings ad to be better.

finally- graet trainings

last week i did 6 trainings and one more erobic training for a new start of my trainings- just back from my injury befor 3 weeks.

on sunday i took rest day for some homework and bisunes of schhol (just more 5 weeks its over for ever).

monday- long runing in the nature. start in my house and runing on the singels road until "Bit Anaba" and then near the Ben shemem forest and then back home again on the singels roads.
time- 1:27:11
easy runing.

Tuesday- Phartlek training in a track every circuit 333 metters. i did 1 houre of runing and every 5 minuts 1 minuts fast runing between 3:00-3:15 per kilometer. its was 12 minuts runing really fast :smile:

Wednesday- erobic training in early afternoon.
in evning- fast training. 15 minuts joging. and then 30 secounds very fast runing and then 30 secounds walking= 8 times.
and then more 10 minutes for release runing.

Thursday- joging runing. graet nature near to my house in a singels roads, very fun.
time: 52:00 minuts.

friday- 10 km competition on the roads in my city Modi'in maccabim reut. i runing on the start fast but in the 4 kilometer i feeld bad becouse the weather was really hot (about 35 dagrees) and then its was very hilly course so i runing in joging to the finish.
the course was all the time on the asfhalt soo its not was comfortable for me.
time: 47:05

Saturday- local orienteering event in north tel aviv. one of the member from israel netional team Zef segal mapper this map- good job the quality very nice.

i did a good result but i lost about 7 minuts. the maps is with a lot of tricks, its graet for parks orienteering:cool:

S-1: i looking on the next course soo i forget to run for a first controp and o was "busy" soo i didnt give enough attansion for this control:worried:

3-4: 30 metters from the control some neighbour from his garden (i think so) told me that where is the control need to be i can't to go thier. soo i going from the other side and i saw the control near to the road (north from the buliding) and the password was the same. the neighbour took the control from her garden to other place :cry:

11-12: bad route choice, my chice was long then the other choice.

21-22: i back fron the road 50 metters from the control but i saw 3 big dogs soo i back in the road and i took the save road (for me):yes:

27-31: its was a micro sprind really fun. but i think i lost thier soo money time because i didnt understand clear what to the thier.:frown:













some route choice from scandvian countries- and the diffrent between israel maps and scandvian maps


can you look how diffrent thinking the israel orienteer then scandvian runner, its a big diffrent becouse in israel you look on the map every 25-30 secounds and in scandvian runner its between 5-15 secounds its a big problem for israel runners.
can you look on this exmple: choose of 3 countries finland, sweden and israel.
