Your entire dissertation will revolve on your topic. So, choose the right one.
- In choosing your topic, make sure that it is worth your time and of your professor. It must be very interesting. It shall not be shallow or too ordinary. Your topic must be of great value that you will learn new findings in studying it and eventually, readers will gain the same.

- Make sure that your topic is original or you can just choose a topic that you are really passionate about. Do not try to make a dissertation that has already been done before but if you will look at that topic in another angle, just make sure that it will not be a copycat.

- If you are going to choose a topic that has never been studied before, make sure that it is doable and realistic. Do not be too ambitious in having your topic. Be honest with yourself. Your topic, regardless of how great it is to the ears, will be impossible if there are no sources or no resource persons to be interviewed.

Your entire dissertation will revolve on your topic. So, choose the right one.
