OneStat does browser statistics, but can't detect browsers properly on their own site

Hallvord has just been looking into an issue with the OneStat site, and he found that their browser sniffing script is hopelessly out of date, causing Opera to break. OneStat publishes browser statistics every now and then, but I wonder how reliable those statistics are when they can't even do browser sniffing correctly on their own site...

Very instructive to see this, Haavard.

I would hope that Opera is educating the tech press about this more. There's a lot of lazy reporting that quotes a sensational stat report about browser share and I think it really harms Opera's reputation...

I hope we can be more proactive on this.
