Mozilla's Minimo project redefines mobile browsing?

CNET reports on Mozilla's Minimo project, which has apparently managed to create proof of concepts for solutions that solve problems affecting mobile browsers:
- Solution to rendering pages on small screens; no horizontal scrolling
- Proper support for JavaScript and frames in a mobile browser
- Navigating links with the arrow keys (a difficult problem to solve, according to the Minimo spokesperson)
- Zooming

Is Opera planning an official response? As Firefox is gaining (over IE) on the desktop and is having more press coverage than Opera, I would think that Opera needs to defend its position in the mobile market more agressively. Maybe it's time to spnd some (more) money on communication and advertisement (what about print media?)!
I think Opera needs to reestablish the tuth.

The spokeswoman added that Opera works on numerous operating systems. "We support all major processors in the market," she said. "You can not only run Opera on Windows, Mac, Linux, Solaris and FreeBSD, but also on SymbianOS, Windows Mobile, Brew, MicroItron--and more are coming. I believe this is the most extensive list in the market, and it is all with the same source code."

These Mozilla-articles are nauseating me with half-truths, veiled lies, and general propaganda that borders upon being insulting.

1 thing that Opera has really taught me is that paying for good software is a good thing.

Personally I hate lie based propaganda (as opposed to truth based propaganda: if its the truth and you want to spread it then go for it) and they seem to be borrowing from the oft boo-ed Microsoftian FUD tactics to rule the roost.
Sad.

And I haven't exactly heard good things about Minimo so far. Let's see if it improves before it is released as a final version.
