My OperaMust Be a Convention Coming?

When the editor saw this while walking over to One Cup to get the WaPo
his first thought was: There has to be a big convention this weekend. Just yesterday, he saw an 18-wheeler get stuck trying to make the turn from Ninth into the M Street tunnel. So he checked the schedule, and it's just 6,000 people for a volleyball tournament, Feb. 13-16. That shouldn't need 18-wheelers.
Then he also thought: Where are that DC front loader pushing that snow to? Then he looked around and saw
dump trucks for the snow.
Those at Ninth and M surely appreciate the fancy snow removal, but the question is why?
Questions, questions.

Alem, of First Cup, said it was between 7 and 8 dump truck loads.
