The editor looked at the 1940 Census for the block bounded by 900M, 900N, 1200 Ninth and Tenth, which is Square 0368 in the city’s Real Property inventory.
572 people are shown listed.
The images are file names m-t0627-00554-00588.jpg through m-t0627-00554-00602.jpg.
You can substitute these, replacing “jpg” with “tif” at this URL to get the images of the census forms. Or, just go to the URL above, and download the entire enumeration district (ED 1-51) in one fell swoop. You’ll need to know how to handle zipped files, or how Windows does it for you.
If you can’t do that, and you are local, contact the editor and he’ll arrange to copy the 54 files to a flash drive.
This post will be in several parts. Some (amateur) commentary, the full listing (minus some of the data elements), and some numbers derived. The editor actually databased the thing into a SQLite3 database. To some things he can do are:

2. 89 10-19
3. 113 20-29
4. 133 30-39
5. 63 40-49
6. 48 50-59
7. 28 60-69
8. 6 70-79
9. 2 80+
White/Black
1. 348 W
2. 224 NEG<–the editor is not going Whiggish and is sticking with the original.
Marital Status:
1. 284 Married
2. 240 Single
3. 37 Widowed
4. 11 Divorced.
