Of Historical Interest

This is of historical interest at this point, but it happened. The point is that there are still problems in the area.
The editor sees more of these than he'd like to, say about one a month.
Usually, the perpetrators are arrested and the problem goes away for a awhile.
Re: Mugging today around 6:40 pm, Thursday, September 11 between M & N
For what it's worth, [my wife] saw two black males fitting your description from our roof top walking south on Naylor Court and turning west on Naylor again toward 10th at exactly 6:40pm. We know this because of an email she was sending to me at the time. ( we have the date / time stamp on it etc.)
They were quite loud, cursing, arguing and generally agitated and aggressive, she said. They were in jeans - one in a baggy white t-shirt and the other a greyish sweatshirt.
Too bad we don't have cameras back here yet. We're looking in to it. Thanks for letting us know.

Mugging today around 6:40 pm, Thursday, September 11 between M & N
To All:
Just a few minutes ago, I heard a fire truck pull up in front of our house. They, along with the police, were responding to a mugging incident that occurred across the street between M and N on 10th Street. After the police finished up with the victim, I got a chance to speak with him. He told me that he was approached by three young black men. One of them asked him for the time and then all three started punching him. They broke his nose and gave him a fat lip. I don't know how much the muggers got from him.
He said that they all looked clean cut, had short hair, with no visible parts or braid, and no facial hair. He also described them as being over six feet tall and wearing jeans and tee shirts. He said after they took his money, they took off, running south on 10th Street. The victim was a young Hispanic male and he said he lives in the area. He said he had never seen them before, but felt that he could identify them if he ever saw them again. I asked him if he screamed for help, because
certainly I would have heard him, and he said no, because he implied it wasn't a very masculine thing to do. My response to that was that if it ever occurred again, he should scream like a girl and yell his head off.
I am copying Sergeant David Terestre on this e-mail, who is a member of our PSA.
This is a very sad event
