This is somewhat late. About a month and a half. But it's a hearty thank you to Mark Bjorge in the Mayor's office.
For some time, years probably, some people have (frequently intentionally) disregarded the "One Way", "Do Not Enter" signs at the entrance to the 900 block of M Street. That is, they go the wrong way on the street. It can get dangerous.
Mark got those arrows put in.
Above is a view from First Cup (formerly Breakwells). There are also arrows across the intersection on the 800 block of M Street.
There are many fewer one-way scofflaws now than previously.
A nice side effect is that people driving east on the 900 block of M Street see a nice big line across the street delimiting the pedestrian crossing. Almost all now stop there, instead of in the middle of the normal pedestrian crossing area. Crossing M Street with the walk sign is noticeably safer now.
