The night before last (21 October) Jeff Harrison of Modern Liquors had his car broken into. Nothing was taken, since Jeff's been around here too long.
Jeff confronted him, and called 911, but by the time 3D arrived, the guy had taken off.
So Jeff tried to track him down him down on his own. He had suspicions that this guy was a Farrugut Square type, so he drove down toward Thirteenth and I/Eye. Sure nough, there he was, breaking into another car. Jeff called 911 again. When the gendarmerie arrived they cought the guy. Among other items found on him were an MP3 player and a Blackberry.
Well done, Jeff.
Oh, by the way: Local Hero is a nice, quirky comedy by Bill Forsyth, who also did Gregory's Girl. In fact, all of his movies are good, gently fun.
