As you all know, Alem and Simaret Abebe bought Breakwells from Russell Breakwell. It is now called First Cup Cafe, and has a nice website, including menus and a map:



One quibble: One of the web pages has the above map above showing location. And the alley from the 900 block of M Street to the north is labeled "Shepherd's Court". It's actually Blagden Alley. Below M Street, to the south, is Shepherd's Court. Or Alley. Boss Shepherd once lived on that block.

I haven't really sung First Cup's praises, because that would be singing to the choir. Alem and Simaret are doing a very good job.
