Last night, at the Monday night poker game at the Penn Quarter sports bar, someone mentioned that one of the townhouses on the 900 block of M Street was up for rental for $15K for the inaugural. The editor's ears perked up, even though the cards didn't. (A pair of eights was the best hand he saw all night.)

The inaugural rental thing was considered for the unused downstairs apartment. But the coming security lockdown around the Convention Center (more in a few days) just might make it worthless to anyone.

Nonetheless, the editor dutifully checked craigslist.

(Boyds is damn near Sugarloaf Mountain. Nice, but the Holiday Inn in Frederick seems like a good
alternative.)

5. 2br - Luxury Condo in Heart of Downtown DC for Inauguration - (Penn Quarter/ Downtown DC, NW)
(A Penn Quarter condo (not the bar) owner allows as how the condo board might check that out.)
6. $500 / 2br - Inaguration 2br - Downtown housing, U st corridor, walk everywhere - (14th and U)

7. $15000 Inauguration Rental - (Bowie)
(Oh, come on, now. The inaugural attendees aren't that desperate, are they?)
