Good afternoon Friends, Community Members, and Ward 2 Stakeholders
Effective this Friday, I will no longer be serving Ward 2 from within the Mayor’s Office of Community Relations and Services. Please know that I have very much enjoyed working with all of you, and so it is with sincere sorrow that I write this. This sorrow, however, is sweetened by the knowledge that we may continue to enjoy and grow our relations when I assume my new position in the DC Department of Transportation.
The Mayor’s Office of Community Relations and Services will continue to keep experienced and capable people in Ward 2. Paco Fimbres has great knowledge of Ward 2 and will be a great asset to the community, and officially joins the Mayor’s staff the Ward 2 Outreach and Service Specialist tomorrow. We further expect to announce another addition to our Ward 2 team this coming Tuesday. And, of course, we will assist in this transition.
Again, it has been a sincere pleasure working with you. Thank you very much for all that you continue to do for our city.
Best regards,
Mark Bjorge
