By now, dear reader, you understand that the editor has a bit of a fixation with the subject of street sweeping.
It turns out that San Francisco also has dirty streets, and have had street sweepers deployed at designated times to ameliorate the problem. And ticket writers to chastise recalcitrant car owners.
It turns out that it's a profit center in San Francisco! There's gold in them thar dirty streets! (OK, and a lot of unpicked up doggie doodoo, too, but that's a digression for another day.)
The editor would be fascinated to see the revenue figures for the parking tickets for getting in the street sweepers way.
