Ryanair, if you want customers to fly with you it may be a good idea to avoid rejecting them arbitrarily because they have names with characters outside US-ASCII. Seriously.

The workaround was to disable JavaScript before leaving that field, then enabling it again. Luckily the stupid validation is done on blur only. Thanks to Opera for rescuing me from webmaster idiocy again - in any other browser buying their tickets would have been much harder..

Ryanair are pillocks though, and should be avoided at all costs. Remember these are the guys who threw a party of blind people off a flight because apparently they have a policy of only allowing 4 disabled people per flight.

They would probably have rejected you at the gate if they had seen the discrepancy between Oyvind on the ticket and Øyvind in the passport.
