My OperaFreezing Demon

So, my husband has designed a pretty awesome search engine home page, http://www.freezingdemon.com/
So far we have gotten really positive responses from the 50+ people who have made http://www.freezingdemon.com/ their home page and are using it for their internet searches.
Some family members were a little concerned that the Freezing Demon name could offend or put some people off. We are going for a little bit of a shock factor and can understand how, initially, the whole Demon thing can seem, oh, should I say, evil?!
So after receiving this feedback I did a little research into the term Demon.
I was thrilled to learn that the origin of the word is Greek and that many great philosophers have written and referred to caring and protective supernatural guardians as Daimons. These Daimons were the go between for the mere mortals and the almighty Gods of Greek Mythology.
The spelling that we are more familiar with now is from the Latinized version of Daimon, Daemon.
It was only later that the church begin to use the term Demon with a negative connotation. Demons in writings were turning into spirits that could persuade or possess people to commit the sins that we are warned against in the Bible.
I don't know, I guess Demons are not someone I would like to have over for dinner, but they do not necessarily have to be some thing we turn away from or gasp in shock at the mere mention of them. And for Goodness sakes! It is only a search engine people! Calm down and search the web!
