Definition
The ovarian cyst is the sac filled with liquid that forms inside the ovary. This piece of writing is about cysts which form during the monthly menstrual cycle, known to be functional cysts. The Functional cysts are not the similar as cysts caused through cancer or further diseases treatment for ovarian cysts.
Women have 2 ovaries that store & release eggs. Every ovary measures the dimension of a walnut, & one ovary is situated on each surface of uterus. One ovary generates one egg every month, & this process starts the woman's monthly menstrual period. The egg with this in a sac known as follicle. An egg develops inside the ovary awaiting estrogen (a hormone), signs the uterus to make up itself for egg. In turn, this lining of the uterus starts to thicken & prepare for the implant of the fertilized egg resulting at pregnancy. This period occurs each month & usually ends at that time when the egg is not fertilized. Each stuff inside of uterus is then barred if the egg is not fertilized. It is called the menstrual period.

Every month during the menstrual cycle, the follicle grows on the ovary. Most of the months, the egg is released as of this follicle (named ovulation).
